Chris,

Trust me...the day will come when some ferqer gets wind of something you have which they really want and can't get their mitts on...and constantly harrass you about it because they want it.  The day will come my friend, the day will come.  Then you will understand why not everything someone has they tell everyone else about.

Chris, I thought you were "Vintage all the way!"

Have you finally seen the light?

Mel I can appreciate something like those light boxes.

The graphics are very appealing.

But they will never reach the vintage appeal for me personally and I would never collect them.

Ves, I certainly understand the logic behind it.

It's just for me, 1/2 the enjoyment of collecting is sharing what I have and discussing it with fellow collectors.

Along the same lines, I enjoy seeing what other people collect and discussing their likes and dislikes and how they acquired their items.

I guess there are just those few out there that take this hobby to a level that is unhealthy and thereby feel they are 'entitled' to whatever they want and so pester and harass others.

So I guess this would be bad time to ask when you willing be giving up the Sunset Boulevard daybill ;)

Do they at least have Aussie accents - which will make the experience somewhat enjoyable?

Chris, If you get them now, you won't have to try and find them when they are vintage posters.

That's a good point Phil.  Sage advice...

Maybe I could get them now and then put them in the wall or under the carpet and then have a very surprising future 'find' for myself!

Loved the movie, not to fond of the US artwork in general, so I had to go to India to find something I liked.  If you've seen the movie and liked it, you'll appreciate this gigantic (52x106in) poster.

Nice Snag T! Much better artwork. I have yet to see this movie so I'm not sure how much I'm going to like it or not. I was not impressed by the previews, but we'll see.

Thanks.  I actually don't like the US campaign at all, especially the advance.  They could have done so much better.

I haven't seen a movie twice in the theaters for a long time, but I will make an exception with Avatar.  1) Because I loved it and 2) because it will never be the same on DVD.  This is the kind of movie you have to see on a big screen and in 3D to really appreciate.

I agree, very slick looking poster.  You should have it linenbacked and hang it in a weatherproof billboard next to the house.  What would backing cost on something like that?  $1500?
