Michael that looks fantastic.  Who did the work?

Believe it or not. Jaime Mendez did the work on that one.

This one just returned from Poster Mountain.  It underwent gelatin resizing and minimal touch up work.  Overall, it turned out well.  The cardstock had a lot of bad creases and it cleaned up well.  John recommended to not bleach it, since the colors would have faded a lot with this cardstock, and I think it's cool, as it's not minty white but is restored and still has the vintage vibe.  The lighting is a little bright on one side so it's not completely accurate on how it looks in person.  Poster Mountain are cool to deal with and they do good work.

The only thing that I'm not too keen on is there are now two vertical creases running the entire height of the poster, each one is about two inches from the left and right edges.  I asked a restoration expert about it and he said he doesn't know what would have caused that.  I asked John and he didn't recall that issue but he would take care of it if I sent it back and I'll probably send it in when I send them a couple other pieces that need some work.

Sweet "before and after," there, Brandon.  thumbup

The results look mighty fine. How does the card stock feel with the gel backing? Any noticeable difference?

Thanks y'all.  Jeff, it's more rigid, really flattened out, and doesn't have the dirty, highly acidic feel that vintage stuff has.  Rosa, I agree, Mr. Newman was one of the best.

Just as a follow-up to the issue I mentioned above.

I talked to John today.  He said he added reinforcement strips around the edges, and they probably caused the creases on the front.  A picture of the back with the reinforcement strips:

He said that due to the thickness of the cardstock, and since the edges were fairly crumpled, it was best to add the reinforcement strips, but he didn't realize the anomaly they had created on the front.  They're only really visible in fairly direct light, and it's not that big of a deal, but he said he can take care of it, so I'll just send it in when I send them a few 40x60s that need some work.  They seem like good guys who stand behind their work and I'm still really impressed with the gelatin technique and how well it works.
