A publicity still from Creature/Black Lagoon but using what appears to be a stand-in for Julie Adams.

This is a bit like a publicity photo for Goldfinger that, in the film showcased a bunch Pussy's pilots all adorned with blonde hair.

But for a publicity shot, there were a bunch of standins utilised, with black hair...!

Roddy McDowall's home movies that he shot during the making of Planet of the Apes (1968). Hicks' comment about the photos in his Japanese press sheet showing Kim Hunter getting her chimp makeup applied reminded me of these clips that I had watched before.

Wow.  Great photos here.

Sometimes I wonder what kind of gear the people were shooting with in the pre-digital times, as well as the film processing techniques.  A classic look with many of these older photos.

Karloff as the Monster, one last time, in the film, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (1946). Make up artiste Jack Pierce was brought back to do Karloff's make-up. The scene was shot, but then edited out, for unknown reasons. The scene was a gag in a dream sequence, near the end of the film. But how great would it have been to see The Monster, shot in full Technicolor!

Perhaps the scene will be located again, some day, found languishing away in a film can.

With Pierce and Mitty director, Norman Z McLeod:

Karloff with his wife, Evie:

This short, 2-minute clip shows original Godzilla actor, Haruo Nakajima putting on the Godzilla suit in 1983 for a photo shoot in a magazine called Uchusen. The suit is NOT the one used for Fake Godzilla and the ending shots from Terror of Mechagodzilla, but another one made in 1979 for Godzilla's 25th anniversary.

“I used to go over lines with Harrison and Mark. Harrison would always change his lines.
I was very impressed that he could do that. I didn’t know what to do with them. They
seemed fine like they were. I was also being agreeable because I kept thinking they
were going to realize their mistake soon about hiring me.” – Carrie Fisher

Recently acquired an original Russian Battleship Potemkin program and there were a few production photos in it -- including the famous Odessa steps scene.

The guy on the far right of the last photo sure appears to be Aleksandr Antonov -- who as the leader of the rebellion made it on to quite a few of the posters and promotional materials.
