Here are 3 shots of actress Ann Robinson, who starred in the original War of the Worlds (1953), at some kind of sci fi convention last year, up in the Bay area. The guy standing with her, holding the alien cut out, (on the left), bought parts/sections of my life size B9 robot reproduction (the robot from Lost In Space), when I decided to sell it off, about 6 yrs ago.

And a few nice posters on the wall behind her, too, in the last pic.  ;)

I met Ann at one of Forrest Ackerman's birthday parties and she was super down to earth.

A couple shots from Alien.

Love the shot of the costume, hanging up to air dry, or when not in use. And the attached suspenders on the lower torso/leg section.  ;D

Abbott and Costello met many of the Universal monsters in the series of films they made, but they never met The Creature.

This was as close as they got, when the creature appeared on their live, TV show, as a brief cameo, shortly after CFTBL was released in 1954.

Here are 3 color (not colorized) photos of the She Creature costume. The film itself was shot in black and white.

The going away party for director, Victor Fleming, who was leaving MGM and OZ to head over to take on GWTW for David Selznick.

I love the look on Judy Garland's face (who is in costume) as she seems to be looking at Margaret Hamilton, without her witch's hat, enjoying a bowl of ice cream. The Oz figures on the table, in front of the cake, look kind of cool, too.

And Bert Lahr, to the right of Garland, out of costume, as well as the Wizard himself, Frank Morgan, on the far right.

Holding his famous makeup case. Lon Chaney   clap clap clap

The photo on the left may have been taken around the time Chaney filmed A Blind Bargain in 1922, in which he played a dual role, one being the Ape Man. The black wig in his makeup case looks like it maybe could be the one he wore for that character.

With a microphone?  This was several years before The Jazz Singer.

The mic was part of the the loud speaker set up, so that he could direct the thousands of extras, back in the distance, in the large crowd scenes, who couldnt have heard him, otherwise.

A speaker/sound system would have come in handy here:

Long behind the scenes, as she was only 12-13 year old, when this pic was taken.

From what I've heard (and don't quote me on this...) there was quite a bit of rivalry behind the scenes of the Aliens Vs. Predator film series.
This photographic evidence seems to corroborate that statement...
