He does look a bit brittle, dried out and crusty around the edges... so true.

I read something somewhere today about him needing a lot of money to do another one of these... Let me see if I can find it.

“I wish I had a video, a gag reel of how many times I was hit by that freakin’ door, the DeLorean door. Take after take, it would go, whack!” said Fox.

He added: “It was the worst thing to drive. It had two gears and I slammed the door, and my hand would smash into the flux capacitor. My hand would be bleeding, my head would be bleeding ... and I had to clean it off to get to the Family Ties set."

Michael Powell, Conrad Veidt and June Duprez on the set of The Thief of Bagdad.

A staple film of my childhood. My dad and I watched this endlessly. - I had the biggest crush on Jaffar because I've always been hopeless :'(

I can't bring myself to revisit it since my dad passed but my memories of it are pure magic.

I just watched Thief yesterday on AMC.
Still as entertaining as ever.
Pure Korda magic.

Here's a behind-the-scenes shot from a film that terrified me as a child.
Can you guess the name of the movie?

 laugh1 laugh1

It is from Half Human, a 1958 re-cut of Ishiro Honda's 1955 Yeti thriller Ju jin yuki otoko.

It was re-edited for American audiences in much the same way as Gojira became Godzilla, with footage of John Carradine inserted into Half Human like Raymond Burr was edited into Godzilla.
 cheers

Looks like Jane (who's fairly tall at 5'8") had to take matters into her own hands because the assistant is too short.
