And could Bela actually be one of the masked doctors in this scene?

Not out of the realm of possibility.

The doctor at the foot of the operating table has a certain stance that makes me wonder.....

 hmmm.gif

He could turn into a bat, wolf, and fog. Did he really need to disguise himself as a doctor to get Lucy?

More just meaning that they could have used Bela as another body in the operating theater scene.  ;)

The blurb with this photo, explained the figure. (Would love to know the whole story, that's for sure).

"Kong in a Junkyard?
This is what appears to a prop of King Kong from the 1976 version of the film.  The film had a scene which used a giant animatronic Kong and this looks to be the mold of that animatronic. If anyone has more info on what this actually is, please let us know."

More from Rouben Mamoulian's consummate Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. (I hope these are not a repost, & huge apologies for the size!)

That is Health & Safety at the work place there and then. The cameramen must have been quite reassured.

ps- Those welted leather brogue shoes (assume they are cream & brown) are just fabulous!!!

That's got to be a shoe in for one of the best ballet posters ever

As nice as she is, you are drawn to the shoes, nice ad/poster design

Agreed. Beautiful poster at HA. Speaking of which (HA), have you noticed HA's recent IT issues? They are posting posters with the wrong image - Stagecoach US OS had the photo of Fay Wray rather than the actual poster. And Franki the herald was in b&W, now it is green-ish...

I noticed they have taken down few posters from their site yesterday.

Not a BTS, but a cool shot showing Karloff's stunt double falling into the sulfur pit, in Son Of Frankenstein (1939):

A short, B/W snippet of Judy Garland, from Wizard of Oz, in her blonde wig, when Richard Thorpe was originally first assigned as the director. The look of both Dorothy and the Wicked Witch were changed quite a bit when Victor Fleming took over the reigns and began his re-shoot.
