One of my faves, Lon Chaney, Sr, visiting Garbo on the set of her film, The Temptress (1926). He must have wandered across the MGM lot, in between shooting scenes for The Road to Mandalay (1926);)

Ricou Browning, who played the Creature in all of the underwater sequences, in all 3 films.

OK, OK...I have to say this: SHAME having Ricou Browning wearing that suit. What a waste, he was real nice to look at

Good try, but No it was Ben, if you look at the suits, on the chest Ricou has one divider in the centre as he was quite small
and did all the swimming scenes. Ben was a Big fellow, and if you look at his chest, he has two dividers, he did the land scenes
and walking out of the water etc... Just a bit of useless trivia. thumbup

Thanks Paul.. good stuff. Love that kind of additional trivia. Im one to gobble that kind of material up!  thumbup

And yes.. i had mentioned in my earlier post that Browning had done all of the underwater scenes in all 3 films (and knew that Chapman was the "land based" creature).  ;)

Looks like Joan had a few freckles too. 1930's retouching, at its finest.  ;)

Good pics, Peter!  thumbup

Lots of stars had their freckles retouched.  Janet Gaynor is one example and this Crawford is another.

This is a stunning pic. To be honest I think she looks beautiful in both, one more ''star-like'' than the other. Great stuff!!
