A side note for Universal horror fans:

October 25, 1932 Universal fire:

A brush fire broke out in the woodlands behind Universal and swept through fifteen acres of land and destoyed two film sets valued at $10,000. While the main stages and sets were not in danger, the sets destroyed were used in Frankenstein (1931) and the William Wyler film, A House Divided (1931).

2 different, yet cool publicity pics of Herr Strange as the Monster. Top shot: House Of Frankenstein; the bottom still is from Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein:

Lon Sr, Tod Browning and Marceline Day on the set of London After Midnight. Notice the top hat and wig, used for Chaney's vampire role, on the table, in the foreground, along with his makeup kit:

Jeff, here's the picture of the poster we were discussing. I can't find the U.K. press-book pic at the moment, so here's the one from the U.S. press-book...

You guys are getting close.
Here's another to get the grey matter going.
Hint: the actor in the boat about to be eaten by a shark is the late, great Robert Shaw.

And my Summers were ruined forever. Bye bye. Freaking flop.

Frederic March, as Mr Hyde, in the best screen version, IMO -- from 1931 and Paramount. March won the Academy Award for his performance!  clap clap

He is superb. But his best performance is in Death Takes a Holiday. His manners and how he acted that sense of defeat ....is just...other actor would have been pathetic.

He was great in both movies, but then he was ALWAYS great. He truly never gave a bad performance.

And he went from major leading star to supporting actor without a hitch, which almost none ever do!

TRUE. I should have said my favourite for personal reasons is Deather T, but he was always great. He is pure class.
