CFTBL (1954) -- and with a stand in, NOT Julie Adams.

(Tho Adams & the gill man were the original 'Shape of Water' couple).  thumbsup.gif

That's an awesome pic, Jeff.  I love Mark of the Vampire (despite the cop-out ending), every frame literally drips with atmosphere!

I agree Ben. The atmosphere created in the flicker (like so many from back then, and making the utmost of B/W photography), was top notch.

And here's another, of director Tod Browning giving Lon Chaney a light, in London After Midnight (1927):

What is, I'm assuming a colorized photo, from Werewolf of London (1935), showing Henry Hull, Valerie Hobson and Warner Oland. The coloring looks very good on this and almost looks like it could have been in color to begin with.

A fun "woof" shot, for sure.  thumbup

Roddy McDowall's home movies that he shot during the making of Planet of the Apes (1968).  thumbsup.gif  Really great images of him getting into makeup as well as footage shot at Westward Beach (near Zuma Beach and Pointe Dume), where the last scenes took place.

This wardrobe test photo, of James Cagney, dressed and made up as Chaney's Phantom for Man of a Thousand Faces (1957), probably had Lon, Sr rolling in his grave at this horrendous butchering of his iconic, 1925 makeup creation.

And to think this was also a Universal production!  faint2.gif

Yes, really weird photo, Jeff!  I bet they were glad they did the test!  I'm no composer, but, "I'm a Yankee Doodle Phantom .....not quite the image of my Uncle Lon,  and why won't my arms lay straight!". Okie

Im assuming the horrible, Westmore-designed makeup was already signed off on, as this is exactly how he looked in the finished movie (along with a blonde haired Christine Daae').  :-X

Harold Arlen's home movies with some great footage of the Wizard of OZ cast, some behind the scenes footage. Plus, near the very end, some footage of Garland and Bolger that was shot during director, Richard Thorpe's time on the film. Garland can be seen in a blonde wig.

This kind of material is priceless, since no Victor Fleming-directed outtakes ever seems to have appeared, let alone any surviving footage from the Richard Thorpe version. (Aside from the extended scarecrow dance sequence that was re-discovered a number of years ago).

The great Christopher Lee!  Thanks for this footage, Jeff.  It's great to see the analog equipment and actors with actual teeth colored teeth!  Okie

And one more, Okie... home movies shot on the set of DRACULA-PRINCE OF DARKNESS (1965).

What's cool is that Chris Lee and others are talking about the footage (off camera), as they watched it in 1997.

Jeff, It was very interesting to me to hear Lee's last comment about serving in the "the last war" with either John Huston or the stuntman.  Okie

Test footage made by Ray Harryhausen in the late 1940s, as well as production drawings he did, when RH was considered for a film version of WAR OF THE WORLDS.

His alien looks like a combo of and octopus with an alternate face that later resembled another of his classic creations, the Ymir.
