Always stunning, Grace Kelly, on the set of High Society (1956), with director, Charles Walters, standing next to her, on the left.

saw this photo on other parts of the interweb....not sure it totally fits here, a different sort of behind the scenes, but probably worth a look

photoshop circa 1930s:

Six hours of 'by hand' retouching very impressive - what would take an hour in Photoshop now-a-days. Lovely job

I'm wondering if that's no gag with the tea pot either, I suspect his teeth are so protruded he can't close his lips over the edge of a tea cup...

Does it get any better than this for a photo?!   bed1 bed1 bed1

Behind the scenes at the 1956 AA...

Does it get any better than this?

I don't think so.
These two ladies embodied more class than all of Hollywood these days combined.
Great photo, Charlie.

Well, my computer at that time was bogged down loading all of Davids auction items in his quite significant poster auction

Lon Chaney, dressed as the Red Death, with director, Rupert Julian, on set during the shooting of the 3-strip Technicolor Bal Masque sequence, from The Phantom of the Opera (1925). There was no love lost between Chaney and Julian; they did not get along at all during the production.

Amazing color for 1925: clap clap

Construction, in 1924, of Stage 28, at Univeral, for the opera set, much of which still exists today, for The Phantom of the Opera (1925):

Behind the scenes color photos taken of Karloff, Peter Lorre and Lon Chaney, Jr, from the Oct, 1962 episode of Route 66, called "Lizard's Leg and Owlet's Wing." The episode was shot in black and white, so it's great to see how the 2 makeups looked in color.

Karloff was 75, Chaney was 56 and Lorre was 58, when this was episode was produced.
