Lobbies are pretty much all I collect at the moment, as 1sh are too expensive & hard to come by.  Haven't gotten around to taking my own pics, so here are the ones I pilfered from the sellers  ;D

I did, Rich.  I wanted at least one Arbuckle card for my collection (and who can stop at one).  I was thinking of going after both  in an effort to one day put the set together, but thought better of it.  Live to fight another day

I used to own lots of Lobby Cards, but have pared them down over the years.  These first three LCs from the original 1949 release of Mighty Joe Young are my favorites, especially the card where Joe is rescuing the child from the burning orphanage.  Of the eight original cards, these three are based on the pre-production sketches from the movie. I took them out of their frames for pics, but they came out kinda pale anyway...

These next three are Mexican LC's, slight larger than the Americans.  They are colorful and kinda cool...

and here are a few favorites from some modern sets I own...

Thanks, Paul.  No, I do not have the other five, though I have located a title card and am negotiating a trade.

I dated this girl who was a lawyer at MGM, and she would give me tons of stuff from their archives.  I have a whole box full of press photos and pressbooks.  I rummaged thru it yesterday, and I found these cool photos from one of my favorite movies: 12 Angry Men.

The LCs from "Cabinet Of Dr. Caligari" and "London After Midnight" went for big money in that same auction.

A recent eBay win.  Billy West, an obvious Chaplin clone, in "His Day Out" with Oliver Hardy on the right in the top hat.  I apologize for the quality of the picture.  Still learning how to photograph movie paper properly

Excuse my newbie-ness here, but which size lobbies are generally more rare...the 11x14 or 8x10 (US)?

Or is it just based on the title?

A lot is based on the title, but as a rule of thumb 11x14's are more preferred, as they have some artwork around the picture. 10x8's are mostly stills with the title stuck on.

Thanks man!  I think it's a for a re-release of Ghastly Ones.  I actually got this card as a freebie from a very, very kind seller who sold me a one sheet for The Naked Witch.

Here is what I think you all would consider my best two.  I AM NEW!  :P

Lobby cards remind me of my youth with sports cards. Though I am going to frame and hang the Charade

Warriors lobby, signed at the Chiller Theatre Expo.  Possibly my favourite film.  Going to frame it eventually when I decide which room to put my signed pics and posters in without it looking like a wall display from a theme bar.
