Did you know that you can currently buy a LOT of posters for just a dollar or two or three each (at least in our auctions)?

Some collectors have the mistaken idea that you can't get any "deals" on movie posters anymore!

But in fact, they are completely wrong, at least when it comes to OUR auctions! It IS true in many other so-called "$1, No Reserve" auctions, where you quickly learn that there is fine print that puts a MASSIVE minimum $19 buyers premium on all purchases, so that "$1, No Reserve" poster ends up costing you TWENTY DOLLARS (and sometimes there are exorbitant shipping costs as well, so a $1 purchase can end up costing you $35 or much more), and some auctions don’t like to combine purchases, and some even charge surcharges on card payments. We started our auction company because we knew there had to be a better and much more fair way to auction movie paper!

In OUR auctions (at www.eMoviePoster.com), we have NO buyers premiums at all, so a $1 poster is REALLY a $1 poster (and in many of our auctions, you can pay a single shipping charge no matter how many items you purchase from that set of auctions)! But are there really many items that sell for just a few dollars each? Here are the hard cold facts! In 2017 alone we held a grand total of 140,554 auctions. Of those:
8651 items sold for exactly $1
12776 items sold for   $2 or less
18137 items sold for   $3 or less
24127 items sold for   $4 or less
29894 items sold for   $5 or less
37306 items sold for   $6 or less
43755 items sold for   $7 or less
49063 items sold for   $8 or less
54602 items sold for   $9 or less
58411 items sold for $10 or less
59674 items sold for $11 or less
64744 items sold for $12 or less
69467 items sold for $13 or less
73923 items sold for $14 or less
76686 items sold for $15 or less
78701 items sold for $16 or less
81965 items sold for $17 or less
84814 items sold for $18 or less
86627 items sold for $19 or less
or 62% of our total 2017 auctions

That means that over 86,000 of the 140,000 auctions we held in 2017 ended at under $20 each! We know that in those auctions with the $19 buyers premiums, they did not have even ONE auction end at under $20, because even when an auction ends at just $1 in their auctions, the $19 buyers premium brings it to $20, so EVERY auction they hold costs the buyer at least $20, plus shipping.

Doesn't it make sense to spend your money where it goes the absolute furthest? We only charge the actual cost of shipping (often far less, when a buyer buys multiple items). Every week, we auction around 3,000 items in our Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday auctions combined, and it is a certainty that some fair percentage of them sell for "bargain" prices in every set of auctions, and there are often some absolute "steals"!

Of course, we also sell LOTS of high quality movie paper. In 2017 alone, we auctioned 9,267 items for over $100, and we auctioned 426 items for $1,000 or more, and every one of those items had accurate condition descriptions! Our total sales for 2017 were $5,596,923 (which means we have averaged well over five million in sales per year the past five years), and we have now held over 1,391,000 auctions in all! Whether you are looking for great bargains, or the finest movie paper, or anything in-between, remember to go to eMoviePoster.com. We have honest unenhanced images of all we auction and we give true customer service!
We (eMoviePoster.com) hold 2,500 to 4,000 auctions every four weeks.
We have auctioned more movie paper for more money (in real sales) than any auction in the world.
We have the longest continuously running auctions of any auction, with over 1,914,280 to date from over 3,192 consignors.
See all of our current auctions in one gallery here: http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/all.html

I imagine that all of you reading this like to make great buys on vintage movie posters just as much as the next fellow, and if so, then eMoviePoster.com's current auctions of 499 inserts & 500 half-sheets (45% of which are unfolded) closing in a few hours at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/13.html is the set of auctions for you!

Sometimes I hear people say they wish they had a time machine so they could go back to the time when vintage movie posters were plentiful and cheap. We have that time machine here and now in the above set of auctions which is closing in a few hours beginning at 7 PM CST!

How great are these deals? 217 are at just $1 or have no bid, and HALF of them are at just $4 or under, and even the most expensive are mostly far under where the same or similar posters have sold for in the past (and we have NO "buyers premiums", so $1 is REALLY $1, and not "$1 plus a $19 buyers premium")!

In these days where just about everything you buy (from food to health insurance to homes) keeps getting more and more expensive, isn't it nice to know that there are still LOTS of $1 to $4 original vintage movie posters available on eMoviePoster.com?

And it is not just the least expensive of these that represent great values! Most of the half that are over just $4 are WAY under where the same or similar posters have sold for in the past (and I am talking incredible values, like $50 posters at $10, $100 posters at $20, etc). And this set of auctions includes a bunch of REALLY first rate posters too (some you would expect to see in a major auction!).

What's more, buy all you want and only pay $12 U.S. shipping for all you get (even if you get 100!). Plus, we let you accumulate all the "rolled" items you buy in a three week period and still let you pay just one shipping charge (if they still fit in one tube, and you pay for them within the three weeks) and if you live outside the U.S. you pay the actual cost of getting the items to you, and you can accumulate all the "rolled" items you buy in a SIX week period and we will combine them into the fewest tubes possible!

And you can pay for your purchases entirely within our Checkout, which even works with "Pay and Hold" orders, which saves you a fortune on shipping! But you can't get the great deals and outright steals on these inserts and half-sheets if you aren't bidding, and it takes a while to go through 999 posters, so why not go to the above link now (or very soon) because in just a few hours these posters will be going, going, GONE!

eMoviePoster.com's 999 "special" rolled posters (movie and non-movie) closing in HOURS at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/14.html is the absolute most "fun" set of auctions we do and the current bid prices on these are mostly so low that they qualify as being below wholesale!

This is where we auction war, travel, and music posters, among many other categories of posters. There are so many unusual types of posters that we HIGHLY recommend that you make an effort to look at all of these posters in our gallery format at the above link (and you are sure to enjoy doing so, even if you end up not buying any, and solely "window shop")!

But hurry, as there are just a few hours left until these all close, and since they all truly have no reserve, ALL will have new owners (and astonishingly, ONE THIRD are currently just $1 or have no bid, and 593 are at $1 to $5, so they are certainly within the financial reach of everyone, collector or non-collector).

And in addition to all the very low priced posters, there are also a large number of really excellent posters (including signed limited edition prints, S2 recreations, ultra-rare travel and war posters, and much more) and yet even many of these are far under where the same or similar posters have sold for in the past.

Not yet registered to bid in our auctions? Go HERE: https://auctions.emovieposter.com/Registration.taf

HERE IS A CHART OF THE ITEMS IN THIS AUCTION:
(to better help you find the types that interest you)
3k001-3k026 numbered and unnumbered art prints, S2 re-creations, printer's test posters
3k027-3k035 circus posters
3k036-3k063 political campaign posters, war posters
3k064-3k105 travel posters
3k106-3k145 Star Wars posters of all kinds
3k146-3k168 TV posters, film festival posters, hand painted, motivational, static cling, special one-sheets
3k169-3k189 mostly Egyptian religious posters
3k190-3k265 stage posters including many German ones
3k266-3k314 advertising posters
3k315-3k370 a great collection of original rock concert posters from 1966 to 1971
3k371-3k398 music posters from all over the world
3k399-3k547 special collection of HIV or AIDS related posters
3k548-3k697 museum and art exhibition posters
3k698-3k819 special posters of all kinds
3k820-3k842 video posters
3k843-3k973 commercial posters of all types and countries
3k974-3k993 mini posters including several IMAX
3k994-3k999 reproduction posters
We (eMoviePoster.com) hold 2,500 to 4,000 auctions every four weeks.

eMoviePoster.com has  999 non-U.S. posters from 26 countries closing in HOURS at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/13.html. The current bid prices on them are almost all so low that they qualify as being WELL below wholesale! You likely know that non-U.S. posters like these often have great completely different images from the corresponding U.S. one-sheets, and that sometimes they sell for bargain prices.

But the current bid prices on these 999 closing in hours are SO incredibly low that not only are they mostly below the cost of repros, but they are mostly well under the cost of gift-wrap, so you could buy many of these and use them that way, but to us that would be a sin! We are not sure why this is, but whatever the reason, this is absolutely an incredible buying opportunity.

Of special note in the auctions closing today are incredible selections of posters from Eastern Europe (which often have the coolest and most "different" images of any non-U.S. posters! These include 156 from Poland, 105 from Russia, and 24 from Yugoslavia. Plus great offerings of 149 Italian posters, 106 German posters, 135 from Japan, 55 from Belgium, and many, many more. In all, 26 countries are represented, so this truly IS "the world of movie posters", offered to you at one time (and you can buy posters from many different countries and pay a single $12 U.S. shipping charge, or a single actual cost charge anywhere else!).

So if you have never bought any non-U.S. posters before (or only bought a few), this would be a great time to start collecting them more seriously, because we are practically giving many of them away. Not only are they almost all WAY below where the same (or similar) posters have sold for in the past, but they are often many times below what any dealer would ask for the same items (which is why, if there is not a lot more bidding, it will likely mostly be dealers who buy these, to re-sell at a large profit, which is easy to do, because we give any buyer, on request, an unwatermarked image, so they can add them to their site or eBay with no work at all).

Think I am exaggerating about how low the current bid prices are? There are 376 that are at $1 (101 have no bid at all, so a single $1 bid could possibly win those!), and 477 are at $1 to $5! And these are honest no reserve auctions, where every item really starts at $1, and really sells to the highest bidder (and we have no "buyers premiums", so "$1" is REALLY $1, and NOT "$1, plus $19 buyers premium").

Plus, no matter how many of these you buy today, the U.S. shipping is just $12, even if you get 100 of them (actual cost anywhere else). And using our "Pay and Hold" system, you can get all you want over a three week period (six weeks outside the U.S.) and you pay just $12 U.S. shipping for everything as long as it fits in one package safely. And you can pay for your purchases entirely within our "Checkout 2.0", which works with "Pay and Hold" orders, which saves you a fortune on shipping!

But whether you are buying to add to your collection at super low prices, or whether you are buying for resale, you can't get these hard-to-believe bargains if you aren't bidding, and you can't look over 999 items right before they close, so why not go right now to the above link and start checking these out? We are certain you will be amazed at the low, low current bid prices!

I imagine everyone reading this likes buying one-sheet movie posters for next to nothing as much as the next fellow, and if so, you will LOVE eMoviePoster.com's current selection of 999 rolled (or formerly folded) 27x40 & 27x41 one-sheets closing in hours at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/14.html, which includes lots of the best ones from the past 30 years and yet the current bid prices on many of them are hard to believe!

Think I am exaggerating? With just a few hours left (as of this writing), there are 349 of them at $1 (97 have no bid at all, so a single $1 bid might get those) and HALF of them are at just $1 to $4! At these prices they cost less than wrapping paper (so you could get a bunch of these and use them that way, but to us that would be a sin). You could start a collection, or you could slap them on eBay at $9.99 each and make a bundle, or you could sell them from your website (we can provide buyers with unwatermarked giant images of their purchases, so that is super easy to do with virtually NO work on your part).

There is also something unusual about this offering of unfolded one-sheets. They contain almost as many posters from this century (2000 on) than from the last century (1999 and before), and these "21st century posters" may prove to be the collectibles for the future, because 20 years from now, these will likely be the movies new collectors remember nostalgically!

But at THESE low, low prices you could certainly buy one or more from a recent movie you like and tack or tape it straight on your wall (just like you did when you were a teen) or you could give some as unique gifts to friends. These days, almost everything seems so expensive, but NOT most of these one-sheets!

And of course this set of auctions also contains lots of the very best posters from the past 30 years as well, as will be immediately evident when you look at the highest priced posters. So whether you are looking for great posters or great bargains, you will find plenty to interest you! So why not visit the above link right now?

eMoviePoster.com has 999 pressbooks, Austrian & East German programs, sheet music, and other items that don't fit in our regular auctions closing on Sunday (two days from now) at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/15.html and I think this set of auctions will be of interest to virtually every memorabilia collector (even those who collect little movie paper!).

Exactly what is in this set of auctions? This auction is a "catch-all" auction where we put all the items that don't fit in our regular auctions, but which DO fit in our standard size mailers (and ship for a flat rate of $12 in the U.S.). There are a LOT of very unusual items in this set of auctions, some of which you might never see again, so be sure to look over all the items very carefully, because there will surely be some great buys made.

Here is a chart of the types of items (to better help you find the types that interest you):
3x001-3x038 records, comic books, all sorts of cool and unusual items
3x039-3x059 calendars, programs, composition pads, litho prints, art portfolios
3x060-3x077 promo brochures
3x078-3x101 art prints
3x102-3x125 trade ads for classic movies
3x126-3x191 fruit and vegetable crate labels
3x192-3x272 song books, sheet music
3x273-3x336 East German programs
3x337-3x498 Austrian programs
3x499-3x503 pressbook supplements
3x504-3x526 English pressbooks
3x527-3x999 pressbooks

If you just like making incredible deals (whether to add to your collection, or as a dealer to re-sell), then THIS really is the set of auctions for you. Maybe it is because many of our bidders are not familiar with these exact types of items, but with two days to go, TWO THIRDS of these items are at just $1 and ONE THIRD have no bid at all, so there is certainly the potential for incredible deals.

Not only are they almost all WAY below where the same (or similar) items have sold for in the past, but they are often many times below what any dealer would ask for the same items (which is why, if there is not a lot more bidding, it will likely mostly be dealers who buy these, to re-sell at a large profit, which is easy to do, because we give any buyer, on request, an unwatermarked image, so they can quickly add them to their site or eBay with no work at all, especially because they can also "borrow" our description, creating their own listing in minutes).

But you can't get these hard-to-believe bargains if you aren't bidding, and you can't look over 999 items right before they close, so why not go right now to the above link and start checking these out? We are certain you will be amazed at the low, low current bid prices!

So I don't super understand the logic of having a Major Auction in the middle of August, when most people are on a well deserved vacation or hopefully having better things to think about than movie posters.  I skipped all the linenbacked auctions for lack of interest, but I did have a few things on my list today.  Whatever I won, it was pure luck because I had close to zero reception at the beach.  It was a one shot only.  If someone had overbid me, I would have been unable to bid again as I failed to reconnect and bid on other items I had on my list.

Why not wait until September when everybody is back at work?  It would also give people some breathing room between Heritage and Emovie.  Is there some reasoning I fail to understand?

Not September because of October/Halloween auction and December auctions just around the corner.

But after the March major, possibly June might be an option instead of August?  Are people on the other side of the globe not on their holidays in June?

I know Bruce is always considering different auction scenarios as he's mentioned only 3 majors in the past, possibly a 4th weekly auctions etc.   What's the right combo?  Depends on influx of material coming in as well I imagine.  I've made some of my biggest purchases in the summer, at the same time i do feel this year is a bit quieter than previous years.

June would certainly be much better.  And before HA.  But then again, maybe they just have so much stuff it doesn't matter.  It would for sure matter to me if I was selling.

I think both companies plan out their auctions well in advance, they just happen to overlap sometimes.

But honestly, EMP's major auction does what - a few hundred thousand total over 1,000+ items- less than $350 per item average.
Is that really something you need to save up breathing room for?

I like to plan for Bruce's auction because there are usually several extremely well graded, rare posters and other goodies in his auctions on which I want to bid.  That can equal some serious dough to my wallet, if I win several items.  With a world market in auctions now, and multiple auctions, it must be challenging to pick the best times to hold events.  Okie

I spent $2,400 on 3 items yesterday.  If I had my way, I would have probably doubled that.  It may not be a lot of money to you, but it is to most people.

I spent $2,400 on 3 items yesterday.  If I had my way, I would have probably doubled that.  It may not be a lot of money to you, but it is to most people.

That's an average of $800 per item. Considering not even 10% of EMP items in a major auction sell for $800 or more, you are in the top percentage of buyers and at the very far end of the bell curve.
Most people don't spend that much on a single poster, let alone three of them.

Did you reply to me?  Wasn't "Is that really something you need to save up breathing room for?" an answer to my post?

So yes, $2,400 is something to save up breathing room for.

 sm1  all good.

was just pointing out that you are at the top of the food chain for EMP auctions, the breathing room you need is far different than most.

Somtimes it might be preparing to spend thousands, though bids get up higher than I want to pay.  So, planning still comes into play.  Some of Bruce's auctions I've spent thousands, and some hundreds.  Who knows sometimes, eh?   Okie

I am not.  70mm and Noah are.  I just buy what I need.  Not everything in sight.

I'm not going to go back to see what you wrote ten posts above.  Sorry, just not that interested in what you have to say.  You said "top of the food chain" and that I'm not.  Since you LOVE to have the final say, here's your opportunity.  Carry on.

Like I said - it's all good.
Maybe you don't consider yourself, someone who has spent $250K+ on posters and has a collection worth half a million plus as being in the top 10% of buyers, but statistics say that you are.
You can see yourself as an average joe if you want, but you're a superstar  ;D
