If you have ANY interest in vintage lobby cards, then you are going to LOVE our current auctions of 999 complete and incomplete lobby card sets (5,943 cards in all) closing in HOURS at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/14.html, because they represent a really great lobby card buying opportunity!

Think I am exaggerating? Think again, because as of this writing, with just hours to go, there are 275 of these sets at $1 or with no bid and over ONE HALF at just $1 to $5! Since all of these have at least 2 cards, and OVER half of them are complete sets of 8 or more, this means many are well under just a DOLLAR per card and many are just PENNIES per card.

And on all the sets (not just the lowest priced ones), almost ALL of them are FAR under where the same or similar sets have sold for in the past (and in some cases, you will likely be able to buy a complete or incomplete set for little more than what most dealers would charge for the title card or one of the better scenes)!

Remember that on OUR auctions there are NO buyers premiums, so $1 is REALLY $1, and NOT "$1, plus $19 buyers premium", and you pay just $12 U.S. shipping no matter how many of these you get, even if you get 100 sets! If you focus on the least expensive cards, you may be able to buy a giant box of hundreds of cards, and have it cost just $100 or so, INCLUDING U.S. shipping!

If you are a fan of older lobby cards, know that well over half of these are from the 1950s and earlier, and many of these older cards offer the absolute best values, even though many of these titles are extremely rare!

Are you only interested (or mostly interested) in a specific genre, star, studio, or decade? Don't forget to use our "Search Filters" which are located to the left of our auction galleries.

For example, in the case of these lobby card auctions, they include 106 horror/sci-fi sets (including some excellent titles), and you can see just those by clicking on the Search Filter that says "horror/sci-fi", and the same is true for all the other filters, like "cowboy western", "crime", "Walt Disney", "John Wayne", "Steve McQueen", or for the 68 lobby card sets that are solely from the 1930s, and on and on!

Using these Search Filters well makes your time spent in our galleries FAR more productive, and once you get used to them, you won't know how you ever lived without them (and there is no other auction site that has similar Search Filters that work like ours do!).

But there is no way you can look through 999 lobby card sets in just a short while, so why not start looking these over soon, and then make sure you give yourself plenty of time to place your bids, so YOU can be getting some the great deals that surely will be made when these close in a few hours?

We (eMoviePoster.com) hold 2,500 to 4,000 auctions every four weeks.
We have auctioned more movie paper for more money (in real sales) than any auction in the world.
We have the longest continuously running auctions of any auction, with over 1,914,280 to date from over 3,192 consignors.

Why consign to us rather than to other auctions? Because we charge far less than ANY other major auction, at every price level (and if anyone tries to tell you otherwise, they are not telling you the truth!), and because we get higher prices overall than any other auction, when you compare “apples to apples and oranges to oranges” (no buyers premiums either).

We treat ALL our consignors (and all our bidders) the way you want to be treated, with TRUE customer service every step of the way, and we have 25 years of experience (and over 41,000 past buyers of movie paper, and 1,874 previous consignors) to prove it! We have averaged over five million dollars of sales the past three years (and every sale was a REAL sale, to a real bidder, and hardly any auctions anywhere can say that)!

We are also the ONLY auction company that will auction EVERYTHING in your collection, not just the best items. Whether you have items like a 1927 first release German lobby card from Metropolis or a never before seen Cinerama British quad from 2001 (both of which will be in this auction!) or whether you have lots of inexpensive posters, WE are the auction for you!

NOW is the time to consign your horror/sci-fi movie paper to this very special auction (the final deadline to consign is September 16th)! We have no “fine print” in our consignment terms, and we have only happy consignors, because we always say exactly what we will do, and we always do exactly what we say we will.

With our great consignors cooperation, we can make this our very best Halloween auction ever!

Our current auctions of 999 programs (599 German, 304 Austrian, and 96 East German including many wonderful ones!) closing in hours at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/15.html!

SOMETIMES IN A SET OF AUCTIONS LIKE THESE, THERE ARE INCREDIBLE BUYS! What do we mean? Because we are only auctioning programs from three countries, many collectors will completely "skip" this set of auctions, and they might well miss items that they would have enjoyed owning.

In the same way, dealers might skip this auction, and miss out on items selling for super low prices. So it is absolutely in your best interest to look over ALL of these, because there will almost surely be many great buys (and whether you are buying for your collection or for resale, everyone likes to make great buys!).

If you wanted to get first release posters from these same titles, you would be talking thousands of dollars in lots and lots of cases. But on many of these, you may be able to get a cool first release program for a tiny fraction of those amounts, sometimes for just a few dollars, which is really hard to believe.

As of this writing, with around 8 hours to go until they start closing, there are HALF of these at $1 or with no bid, and 3/4 at $1 to $5, so great buys almost surely WILL be made on these).

But you can't get those great buys if you aren't bidding, so why not go to the above link now (or very soon) and start looking these over, because it takes a while to look over 999 auctions?

Please help identify some photos! Here is how you can be a GREAT help to us:

Go to this gallery: http://www.emovieposter.com/online/unidentified_stills2/

If you know any of the people pictured, post a comment like this (the below three have been identified):
008 is Martha Hyer
009 is Geraldine Brooks
010 is Douglas Kennedy

Feel free to "guess", but if you are not sure, put a "?" after the name!

Extra credit if you know the year it was taken, or if you know the movie the star was making.

Thanks to all those who help!

And if you have any friends who might know these, share this with them!

We REALLY outdid ourselves with our current Tuesday auctions (which close in just a few HOURS at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/13.html) because they not only have a really wonderful selection of 999 non-U.S. posters from 34 different countries, but there are also a massive amount of current bid prices that are so low as to be absolute "steals"!

First, when you look over the highest priced posters closing in hours, you will immediately see many of them that you likely have never seen before, many with great completely different images!

If you have already discovered how superior non-U.S. posters often can be to their U.S. counterparts, then you will LOVE this set of auctions, and if you HAVEN'T yet discovered these posters, then now is a great time to start, because so MANY of them are VERY affordable! Think I am exaggerating?

An astonishing 404 of these non-U.S. posters are at $1 with seven hours to go, as of this writing (187 have no bid at all, so $1 can take those!), and HALF of them are at $1 to $3, and the half that are over just $3 are mostly WAY under where any dealer would price them (and remember that OUR "$1" is really $1, and not "$1, plus $19 buyers premium" found on another auction site).

Many of the posters currently at $1 to $3 would be $20, $30 or more on just about any dealers website, and many of those currently at $10 to $20 would easily be $50 to $100, but right now may get them for a tiny fraction of that amount (but only if you are bidding, of course).

Plus, no matter how many of these you buy today, the U.S. shipping is just $12, even if you get 100 of them (actual cost anywhere else). And you can get all you want over a three week period (six weeks outside the U.S.) and you pay just $12 shipping for everything as long as it fits in one package safely.

THE ONLY EXPLANATION I CAN SEE FOR THE SHOCKINGLY LOW CURRENT PRICES IS THAT MANY BIDDERS WERE AWAY FOR THE U.S. LABOR DAY HOLIDAY, but if so, then why not start looking over these 999 non-U.S. posters right now, and start finding that perfect poster to display in your home, one that WON'T cost you an arm and a leg, but WILL give you many years of viewing pleasure?

Got some time to look at some auctions that are filled with incredible bargains? We have 490 bulk lots containing 11,223 items in all (lots of one-sheets, stills, non-U.S. posters, plus much more!) that end this Sunday afternoon at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/15.html beginning at 3 PM CST (NOT at 7 PM like our Tuesday and Thursday auctions).

This surely represents a great opportunity to get fantastic deals on all types of movie paper! SOMETHING ESPECIALLY NICE IN THIS MONTH'S BULK LOTS IS THAT WE HAVE SOME REALLY NICE GROUPS OF ITEMS THAT YOU WOULD NOT EXPECT TO SEE IN A "BULK LOT AUCTION" (one quick look at the bulk lots will show you what we mean)!

As of right now, with a day and a half to go, 214 of these lots are at just one dollar, and 280 are just $1 to $5 each, and the rest are mostly currently at FAR under low wholesale prices (in fact, almost all of them are at just pennies per item!). Whether you would be buying these to add to your collection at joke low prices, or whether you would be buying to re-sell online, or through a store or collectible shows, you will likely never get a chance to get greater bargains!

Unlike many sellers of bulk lots, we at eMoviePoster.com always picture every single item in every bulk lot, so you always know exactly what you will be receiving, and just how great a deal each bulk lot is at the price you pay! If YOU want to take advantage of these unbelievably low-priced bulk lots, then you need to visit the above link well before they begin closing on Sunday at 3 PM CST, because it takes a while to look at over 11,000+ items in 490 lots!

Like buying movie posters for next to nothing? 189 of our 999 folded one-sheets ending in hours at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/13.html are at $1 and HALF of them are at $1 to $4!

This group of 999 one-sheets contains a LOT of extreme rarities (from all years and genres), but almost all are extremely affordable (almost all of the half that are over just $4 are well under where the same or similar posters have auctioned for in the past, and only a tiny number are over $100, so almost all are well within the reach of just about every collector).

Remember that we have no "buyers premiums", so "$1" is REALLY $1, and NOT "$1, plus $19 buyers premium" as seen on another auction site.

Best of all, you pay just $12 shipping in the U.S., whether you buy one of these one-sheets or 100 of them!

I want you to now (or very soon) look through all these 999 posters (at the above gallery link), because you will surely find a LOT of them that you would LOVE to add to your collection, and you can't wait to look until right before the auctions end tonight, because it takes a while to look over 999 posters!

Like buying movie posters for next to nothing? You will be likely be astounded by the number of incredible buys in our auctions of 999 large Italian, French, and other non-U.S. posters and oversized lobby cards closing in hours at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/14.html

Just how great are the deals? With hours to go there, not only are there 102 items with no bid at all (so a $1 bid may well win those!), but there are also 494 at just $1, and 640 of the items at just $1 to $5, and almost all of the remaining 359 that are over just $5 are mostly WAY under where the same or similar items have sold for in the past!

And remember that in OUR auctions, when we say "$1", we don't mean "$1, plus a $19 buyers premium", but a REAL $1! In a world where prices on just about everything keeps rising and rising, isn't it nice to know that you can still purchase a great guaranteed authentic vintage movie poster from a favorite film (or with a wonderful image) for such bargain prices?

And even the best of these are mostly very affordable (there are only a handful of posters over $100, and, as noted above, nearly HALF are still at just $1) but you can't get those great deals unless you are bidding, and it takes a while to look over this many posters and lobby cards, so why not visit the above link right now, before these are going, going, GONE?

Hey movie poster collectors! This is your very last chance to consign to our 17th Annual Halloween Auction. We know that lots of people end up waiting for the last minute to consign, and this IS that "last minute"!

If you DON'T get your Halloween consignments on the way to us no later than September 22nd (one week from today), then you will have to wait an entire year for our 18th auction (unless you have a Frankenstein one-sheet, of course, or something similar)!

We already have a wonderful line-up, and we charge the lowest commissions of ANY major auction, and we have auctioned more movie posters for more money than anyone in the world. Why consign anywhere else when you can consign to the best auction?

See our image below for just a few of the great items in this auction (and visit this page, http://www.emovieposter.com/learnmore/?page=consign_major, to preview many other great items).

While we of course prefer great items, we will still accept any horror/sci-fi consignments, as long as they are standard sizes (except stills, where we only want great ones), and as long as they have a realistic minimum retail value of $20 each.

Don't delay. Consign today! This is going to be a wonderful auction.

We have a truly wonderful selection of 394 deluxe "oversized" stills (mostly 11x14, or close to that) at auction ending this Sunday (in two days) at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/15.html (starting at 3 PM CST, not 7 PM CST like our Tuesday and Thursday auctions).

Did you know that in addition to 8x10 stills, studios also made deluxe "oversized" stills as well? 'Tis true! 11x14 stills (or sizes close to that) were made for most movies along with 8" x 10" stills, but very few of these "oversized" stills survive.

While most theaters from the 1920s on received 8x10 stills, few received 11x14 stills, which were often printed on a higher quality paper stock than the 8x10s.

They are often the work of famous studio photographers (such as Clarence Sinclair Bull, Ruth Harriet Louise, and many others), who would often be credited on the still. Some speculate that these larger higher quality stills were mostly only sent to major theaters, which would help account for their far greater rarity!

We did not list these 394 oversized stills with any other items with them, because we feel these are so special that they deserve to be listed "on their own"!  You will love looking at these, even if it is solely to "window shop"!

Hate getting "sniped"? Those new to our site soon learn that we have "time-extended bidding", which means that (unlike eBay) you can NEVER have a poster snatched away from you at the last second, because you ALWAYS get a full five minutes in which you can enter another bid!

Our 17th Annual Halloween Auction runs from October 18th to 30th.  Consigning to this auction is closed (UNLESS you have a GREAT poster like this Forty by Sixty we were just consigned!). If you DO have something great, please contact us immediately.

Otherwise, just go to our site on October 18th when the Part I items are added, and return on October 20th and 23rd when the Part II and III items are added. And then be sure to come to our site on October 25th, 27th, and 30th when each of the parts end, because most of the bidding occurs at the end!

And remember that this is one major auction that is all “treats” and no “tricks” (NO buyers premiums, NO misleading descriptions, NO reserves)!

I had a list of 20 or so that I was going for... ended up with around 5. I thought for sure that with the number of quality offerings, some of the mid to lower ranged paper could be gotten for a steal, but they all stayed pretty high.

I did get the one I wanted, if I could've only won one, which was a plus.

Our great 17th Annual Halloween Auction hasn't even started yet (it starts on the 18th), but we are already hard at work assembling the items in our December Major Auction!

There are two benefits to consigning early to our December Major Auction. The first is that we always use the first example of each item consigned to us, so if yours gets here first, it is in. The second is that we use the early consignments in our pre-auction publicity, which gets them lots more exposure. Why not consign today?

We have auctioned more movie paper for more money than anyone in the world! Why? Because we charge lower fees at EVERY price level, and get higher prices overall (when you compare like items)!

See all of our current auctions in one gallery here: http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/all.html

Maybe it is different for Major Auctions, but for non major you mentioned (some years back) if you had duplicates you always put up for auction the best copy first. This was at a time when people had some concern they bid on an average copy possibly only to find a better copy a short while later

With the Major Auctions, we go with the first one to arrive. What I think you are referring to is the frequent case where one person sends multiple examples of the same item at one time. We go through them and order them from best condition to least condition, and then auction them in that order.  That way, the person who buys the first one gets the best example.

But of course there are also many times where we auction a lesser condition poster and someone else immediately sends another one in much better condition.

Everyone can now view a complete Preview Gallery at http://www.emovieposter.com/online/previews/2016halloween/parti/?p=1, which shows all of the 254 great horror/sci-fi lobby cards (including a few complete and incomplete sets) in Part I of our 17th Annual Halloween Auction that will be auctioned 10/18 to 10/25

It includes all the lot numbers, so you can see them in the exact order in which they will be auctioned! Note that not only do we provide you with the exact condition grade that will be on the auction, but you can also click on any image and see the "super-sized" version, so that you can really know the exact condition of each item long in advance of the auction, so you can better prepare your bidding strategy.

Share this post with anyone who loves great horror/sci-fi, whether they collect movie paper or not! Spread the word!
