Whoops the forum let me edit my last post and save it without advising your more recent post was made. New forum bug it seems....

Ok, just as well as I like arguing...

You are saying I had plenty of time to look at the 999 auctions and I can easily search to filter down from 999 items on what I am interested in.

Filtering: I collect on the art more than the item type but mainly posters. The auction had magazines and press books. I can't search by filtering on images of sexy ladies with big boobs, so I have to look at all 999 items and with Bruce's white squares this process is not very appealing.

Time to see/ i should know schedules: Like I said I'm rarely interested in non poster stuff and I have a life to live rather than look at uninteresting Sunday auction items like magazines and press books like in this auction. Would you look at an auction of 999 toilet bowls every week if you rarely want to buy one? But what if you see advertised a toilet bowl in that auction that has this awesome target in it to aim at but it was advertised after you went to sleep only to read it in the morning after the auction has finished? If you had the usual time between seeing the ad and auction ending you could have had the joy of win the toilet bowl and post images on the forum for people to go ooh aaah. I hope this analogy makes it clearer.

I'm just suggesting the same time between last ad and auction start for Sunday's like for the other days.

What has these people so scared? They are afraid they will miss eMoviePoster.com's incredible 999 auctions of
500 lots of vintage 8" x 10" stills AND 499 presskits (altogether containing 2 to 77 stills per lot with 10,309 stills in all!) closing Sunday at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/15.html!

We (eMoviePoster.com) hold 2,500 to 4,000 auctions every four weeks.
We have auctioned more movie paper for more money (in real sales) than any auction in the world.
We have the longest continuously running auctions of any auction, with over 1,914,280 to date from over 3,192 consignors.

 ;D

Yours is a winning argument sir.  I can't argue with that, and even if I wanted to, I am laughing too much to make any sense.

Excellent.

eMoviePoster.com is now seeking consignments to our August Major Auction like this 24-sheet from the 1952 re-release of King Kong (which will be in the auction)!

While many of the items in this special auction will be linenbacked, it will also include a number of non-backed posters of all sorts. But if a poster is unbacked, then we only want ones that are truly rare and truly desirable, ones that rarely come to auction!

The deadline for  submitting items to this special auction is July 5th, but if YOU have items you would like us to consider, you should contact us ASAP, both because we use early consignments in our advertising, and because we take the first example of each item we are consigned.

If you have nothing to consign but want to BUY from this special auction, then return to our website on August 7th when this special auction begins (and every item has no reserve, and all are honestly described and photographed)!

Do you have quality movie posters you would consider selling? The final deadline to consign to our August Major Auction is July 5th!

While many of the items in this special auction will be linenbacked or paperbacked, it will also include a number of non-backed posters of all sorts. But if a poster is unbacked & unrestored, then we only want truly rare and truly desirable ones, and in nice condition, the best of the best!

The FINAL deadline for  submitting items to this special auction is just around the corner, so if YOU have items you would like us to consider, you should contact us ASAP (by sending an email to "phillip AT emovieposter DOT com", and making the obvious substitutions), and we will quickly tell you if they belong!

Don’t want to consign, but want to BUY? Return to our website on August 7th when this special auction begins, (and remember that every item has NO reserve and all are honestly described and photographed)!

Our 777 "special" rolled posters (including "turn of the century" stage play posters and WWI & WWII posters plus much more) at auction close in HOURS at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/14.html and, if there is not a TON of last minute bidding, this will prove to be one of the greatest buying opportunities for posters like these ever!

How so? With just a few hours to go, there are currently over ONE THIRD of these at $1 or with no bid, and HALF of them at just $1 to $5. And the half that are over just $5 are mostly WAY under where the same or similar posters have sold for in the past, and often by a very wide margin (items that have sold for $50 at just $10, etc).

And the very best posters closing tonight are ultra-rare ones that we have mostly never had before and might not get again EVER! The term "museum quality" is often applied to rare items, but in the case of this auction, there are at least 50 posters that absolutely DO deserve to be hanging in a museum! Just go to the above link and you will quickly see for yourself that what we say is true.

Remember that we are the ONLY major auction with NO "buyers premiums" whatsoever, and on these auctions we only charge $12 U.S. shipping, no matter how many you get (actual cost plus $3 for packaging materials anywhere else). Now PLEASE go to the above link and start looking these over before they are going, going, GONE!

IMPORTANT! We had originally planned for this August Major Auction to be held in four parts, but we decided that it made more sense to have three parts (so people would not have to return to their computers four different times!), so the first part now begins on Tuesday, August 9th at around 9 PM CST (so if you go to your computer before that time, you will not find the first part).

Part I of our August Major Auction (283 linenbacked one-sheets) closes on Tuesday at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/13.html, and with a day and a half to go, there are LOTS of incredible buys on quality posters (many are currently under the cost of linenbacking alone!).

Think I'm exaggerating? There are 84 linenbacked one-sheets in Part I that are under just $50 each, and 133 that are under just $80 each, and if almost every case, the owner of those one-sheets paid around $100 to $150 each just for the linenbacking, so those posters currently are well under the cost of linenbacking alone! And it is not just the least expensive items that are at bargain prices.

Looking over all of the items in all three parts, I see lots and lots of items that are either somewhat under or far under where the same or similar items have sold for in the past. Of course, many will get more bids before the auctions close, but this may well be a chance to get high quality items at well under retail prices, and that hardly ever happens.

Please don't complain to us after the auctions close saying "If I had known that THIS poster could go for this low of a price, I would surely have bid", because you have been warned that this may come to pass!

As of right now (until Tuesday at around 7 PM CST, when Part I starts to end), you can view ALL of the items from Parts I, II and III combined in a single gallery at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/all.html. Or, if you want to just focus on the Part I items (because those close first) then you can view just those at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/13.html.

So why not go right now to PART I at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/13.html, PART II at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/14.html, and PART III at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/13.html, or to http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/all.html (for all of the items together in one gallery)  and look at the many bargains and joke low prices in this August Major Auction?

Remember that we have NO reserves or buyers premiums, honest condition grading, and unenhanced super-sized images of every item, and we stand behind everthing we auction, with NO "Buyer Beware" and a lifetime guarantee on all we auction, so you can bid and buy with confidence (as our 40,000+ buyers have been doing for the past 26 years, during which time we have held 1,200,000 auctions)!

Part II of eMoviePoster.com's incredible three part August Major Auction ends in HOURS (beginning at 7 PM CST) at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/14.html

This is a "best of the best" of our "regular" auctions, containing great backed and unbacked posters of EVERY kind (except for linen one-sheets, which closed in Part I).

You'll find posters from every decade, ranging from an incredible 1877 stage play poster for the very first version of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde to an advance Spanish poster for 2015's The Force Awakens!

You'll find posters of every size, ranging from the only known 24 sheet to the 1952 re-release of King Kong down to a mini-window card to 1968's 2001: A Space Oddysey!

You'll find LOTS and lots of ultra-rarities, including ALL of the almost never-offered first release Mad Max Australian posters, the rejected Saul Bass Schindler's list one-sheet, and so many others!

You'll find GREAT posters from the most loved titles, including Dirty Harry, Treasure of the Sierra Madre, Bullitt, Vertigo, Swing Time and so many others!

You'll find GREAT horror/sci-fi posters from titles like Godzilla, Attack of the 50 Ft Woman, It Came From Outer Space, Invasion of the Saucer Men, The Man From Planet X and so many others!

Like James Bond? You'll find NINE great James Bond posters at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/tag/star%253AJames%2520Bond/sort/4/14.html, including a Dr No six-sheet and two British Quads!

Like Alfred Hitchcock? You'll find FOURTEEN great Alfred Hitchcock posters at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/tag/star%253AAlfred%2520Hitchcock/14.html!

Like non-movie posters of all sorts? You'll find LOTS of them in this auction, including TWELVE extremely rare war posters at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/tag/xtype%253Awar%2520poster/14.html

The above is just a brief overview of the HUGE number of highly desirable items closing in hours. I could go on and on describing them, but I would so much rather you simply go to the above link and start viewing them for yourself!

No matter what you collect, you are sure to find items of interest you would love to have in your collection (your biggest problem will likely be narrowing down a long list of items you want!).

Remenber that we have NO reserves or buyers premiums, honest condition grading, and unenhanced super-sized images of every item.

Most important of all, we stand behind everything we auction, with NO "Buyer Beware" and a lifetime guarantee on all we auction, so you can bid and buy with confidence.

All of our 40,000+ past buyers from our 1,200,000 completed auctions over the past 26 years (and over 70 million dollars in sales) KNOW that we always do exactly what we say we will, and YOU will too, from the moment you place your first winning bid!

Part III, the all-animation section of our August Major Auction closes in HOURS at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/15.html starting at 3 PM CST (NOT 7 PM, like our Tuesday and Thursday items).

Buying from this special auction gives you an incredibly rare opportunity to obtain some of the finest cartoon animation movie paper we have ever seen, and all of them will have new owners when these auctions close, because all start at $1 with no reserve.

I want you to RIGHT NOW go to the above link and view all these items for yourself (posters, pressbooks, stills, lobby cards, stills and more), because seeing them will "sell" them far better than anything I can write here!

But I DO need to make special mention of the Snow White style B one-sheet, which is one of the very few surviving completely unrestored examples and is in a class by itself!

Please remember that we have "time extended" bidding where 5 minutes must go by without a bid for an auction to end, so you can NEVER have an item "snatched away" from you in the final seconds, as happens so often on eBay and some other auction sites.

Remenber too, that we have NO reserves or buyers premiums, and we DO have completely honest condition grading, and unenhanced super-sized images of every item.

Most important of all, we stand behind everything we auction, with NO "Buyer Beware" and a lifetime guarantee on all we auction, so you can bid and buy with confidence.

Our August Major Auction concluded on Sunday with total sales of $311,660, far above our expectations. Every item REALLY sold to real buyers, some at bargain prices and some at world record prices!

You might think we would now "take a breather", but instead we are already hard at work on our 17th Annual Halloween Auction, which we are determined to make our very best ever!

Unlike our other Major Auctions, in this one we take items of every kind, including posters from every country and of every size, lobby cards, stills and pressbooks.

The only common denominator is that they all have to be horror or sci-fi related, and that they must be in pretty nice condition, especially important if they are less expensive items.

Why consign to us rather than to any other auction? Because we charge less than ANY other major auction, at every price level (and if anyone tries to tell you otherwise, they are not telling you the truth!), and because we get higher prices overall than any other auction, when you compare “apples to apples and oranges to oranges”.

We treat ALL our consignors (and all our bidders) the way you want to be treated, with TRUE customer service every step of the way, and we have 25 years of experience (and over 40,000 past buyers of movie paper, and 1,865 past consignors) to prove it!

We have averaged over five million dollars of sales the past three years (and every sale was a REAL sale, to a real bidder)! We are also the ONLY auction company that will auction EVERYTHING in your collection, not just the best items.

Whether you have items like a 1953 “The Thing From Another World” one-sheet or a 1979 “Alien” teaser one-sheet (both of which will be in the 17th Annual Halloween Auction) or whether you have lots of inexpensive posters, WE are the auction for you!

It may seem early to be thinking about Halloween, but we get offered lots and lots of items every year, and we always auction the first example of each item we receive, so you have a lot of incentive to consign NOW, rather than later. But if you want to wait, the final deadline to consign is September 30th!

We have no “fine print” in our consignment terms, and we have only happy consignors, because we say what we will do, and we always do what we say we will. Contact us today if you have items to consign!

Our current Tuesday auctions of 999 non-U.S. posters from 24 different countries (which close in just a few HOURS at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/13.html) contain a massive amount of current bid prices that are so low as to be absolute "steals"!

If you have already discovered how superior non-U.S. posters often can be to their U.S. counterparts, then you will LOVE this set of auctions, and if you HAVEN'T yet discovered these posters, then now is a great time to start, because so MANY of them are VERY affordable! Think I am exaggerating?

An astonishing 377 of these non-U.S. posters are at $1 with seven hours to go, as of this writing (115 have no bid at all, so $1 can take those!), and HALF of them are at $1 to $3, and the half that are over just $3 are mostly WAY under where any dealer would price them (and remember that OUR "$1" is really $1, and not "$1, plus $19 buyers premium" found on another auction site).

Many of the posters currently at $1 to $3 would be $20, $30 or more on just about any dealers website, but right now may get them for a tiny fraction of that amount (but only if you are bidding, of course).

Plus, no matter how many of these you buy today, the U.S. shipping is just $12, even if you get 100 of them (actual cost anywhere else). And you can get all you want over a three week period (six weeks outside the U.S.) and you pay just $12 shipping for everything as long as it fits in one package safely.

Maybe some of our regular bidders are still "wiped out" from our just-concluded August Major Auction, or maybe they are traveling, or maybe they are occupied in other ways, but whatever the reason for the current chance for incredible deals, shouldn't YOU be taking advantage of this great opportunity?

Why not start looking over these 999 non-U.S. posters right now, and start finding that perfect poster to display in your home, one that WON'T cost you an arm and a leg, but WILL give you many years of viewing pleasure?

NOW IS THE TIME TO CONSIGN TO OUR 17TH ANNUAL HALLOWEEN AUCTION!

This auction runs from 10/18 to 10/30, & it has posters, lobby cards and stills (including all of the great lobbies shown here)! If you have horror/sci-fi items to consign, contact us today. Let’s make this better than any of our 16 previous auctions!

Our 999 "special" rolled posters (including "turn of the century" stage play posters and WWI & WWII posters plus much more) at auction close in HOURS at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/14.html and, if there is not a TON of last minute bidding, this will prove to be one of the greatest buying opportunities for posters like these ever!

How so? With just a few hours to go, there are currently 358 of these at $1 or with no bid, and HALF of them at just $1 to $4. And the over half that are over just $4 are mostly WAY under where the same or similar posters have sold for in the past, and often by a very wide margin (items that have sold for $50 at just $10, etc).

YOU WILL LIKELY WONDER WHY WE DIDN'T INCLUDE A LOT OF THESE IN OUR JUST CONCLUDED MAJOR AUCTION!

In addition, we have a ton of "fun" posters of every imaginable kind (there truly IS "something for everyone"), and an awful lot of those will almost surely end up selling for just a few dollars each! At those prices, you can simply tack them to your wall (or use scotch tape, just as you did in college), and then, when you are done enjoying them, you can simply tear them down and throw them away! There is no less expensive way to have really cool fun images on your walls!

Even if you THINK that you aren't interested in posters like these, you really should go to the above link and check them out, because you will surely like just "window shopping" (and if you can't resist bidding, you can likely buy a handful of posters for just $20 or less, and these days, $20 doesn't buy much of anything, but in this set of auctions, you might get an entire room full of posters for that amount!).

I know you are surely very busy, so I DON'T want to waste your valuable time using a lot of words to tell you about our 999 folded one-sheets which close in hours at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/13.html

So I won't tell you that a whopping 298 of these posters are at just $1 with 13 hours to go until they start closing, and that HALF are just $1 to $3 (as of this writing), or that we have no "buyers premiums", so "$1" is REALLY $1, and NOT "$1, plus $19 buyers premium" as seen on another auction site.

I also won't tell you that you pay just $12 shipping in the U.S., whether you buy one of these one-sheets or 100 of them!

I also won't tell you that in addition to having a lot of extremely affordable posters, this set of auctions also has a LOT of posters which dealers ask $100 or more for, but which are currently at a far lower bid price (and WILL sell, because THESE auctions TRULY have no reserves at all)!

In addition to having HALF at just $1 to $3, the half that are over just $3 are mostly WAY under where the same or similar posters have sold for in the past!

Why won't I tell you this? Because I instead want you to use your valuable time going through these 999 posters, because you will surely find a LOT of them that you would LOVE to add to your collection!

But you can't get these incredible deals if you aren't bidding, and it takes a while to look over 999 posters covering all years and genres, so why not visit the above link now (or very soon), because in just a few hours these posters will be going, going, GONE!
