Hey Vick.  This winter marks my 50th year collecting movie posters and the time has come to lighten the load.

Remember Lynaron?  He left us all so suddenly and way too early.  If I'm not mistaken, it was a fatal stroke during a move.
When I moved back out here to the Adirondacks last year, the toughest part was moving the friggin' posters.  Just too many of them.  During that move, I had a few TIA's (mini-strokes) and been visiting doctors ever since.  I had vascular surgery last month and another scheduled for December.  I'm lucky that I'm feeling better, but I've also seen the writing on the wall.

Last thing I want to do is leave my three kids with the burden of liquidating thousands of posters when I do check out, so the time has come to focus on my health, my children and my art.
I've been selling some recent acquisitions on ebay, but plan on using the forums to find good homes for the rest.

Consign bro. You'll spend one hour per poster if u sell yourself, endless trips to postoffice.

I consigned 1825 posters to EMP and saved myself 2000 hours, and they sold for much more than eBay.

Good advice here... but yeah, sharing your list to members here before consigning the all lot would be nice.  As Brude said in another thread, that's the spirit !

Just noticed you picked up the JB2 for Barbarella:

My 2nd favorite Barb poster, behind the 40x60.

So what's your favorite T?

My personal fav.  It's hard to make a bigger statement than with the advance Italian 4-foglio w/day-glo title!

Love this Italian.
But hey T, is that marker bleeding through on her leg?

Yes, sadly this poster had some writing on the back that bleed thru to the front. Given the rarity it’s a pretty minor flaw however.

There was also a large poster (6 sheet?) in a garden type outdoor setting with your two kids I think

I just found a picture of, I think, the one you were talking about.  Am I right?

Were all the fold lines re-touched, after it was backed?

Or are those areas just natural tanning along the multiple fold lines?

Very presentable, in either case.  thumbsup.gif

Its probably a 4 panel Thierry hates "French Grande"

The kids are positioned to hide her modesty?

Yeah, I like it too.  I got a few nice offers when I first posted it.  This one is for sure on the rare side.

It's been a tight race between my entire poster collection and my Spielberg collection.  I was trying to figure out which one would win first, one reaching 14,000 pieces, the other a little behind at 1,500.  Still a pretty good number for one director.

Well, I can now say that the collection won.  Spielberg is left behind with 1,498 posters.  Boooo!!!

So here is my 14,000th movie poster.  A French 1P for Bava's 1968 Danger Diabolik.

PS: When does this shit end?

Obviously you have never heard of the word "moderation"......... ;D

But that's ok! Like I've said to Simon, it's a bleedin' sickness. A curse. To want e v e r y t h I n g  on a movie series, director, star, whatever, is not normal. But the fun is in the hunt! Keep searching because you never know what will turn up next.
