part 2

Even though Ollie's only tiny here, this poster is special.  Wow.
The Germans obviously loved their Hammer time.
Awesome selection, Mike.

Thanks ! So far I photographed 800 this week.
(the COUNTESS poster is not a German artwork, I guess it is an UK artwork,
as far as i recall - I have my HAMMER posterbook downstairs..)

All seven first release APES posters + the six first release STAR WARS posters:

Oh, unused, really ? Cool, so they shipped it over to Germany before they decided not to use it in the UK. That makes it special indeed. (it is quite scarce, small distribution company, not much survived on this title in Germany).

OK, more SCI-FI :)
Some 50s first release:

Thanks!
With the exception of THE BLOB and TIME MACHINE, I don't have the really expensive $1000+ German genre posters
like FRANKENSTEIN, BLACK LAGOON, TARANTULA, FORBIDDEN PLANET and certain others, but I'm more
than happy with what I got. Especially since I'm rather into lobby cards :)

I'm afraid I will stop uploading posters.
Maybe some day this forum gets a technical update and it will
be possible to download files directly from the PC as possible elsewhere.

PICTURE TRAIL suddenly deleted files (I have already 3 accounts there,
they fill up too fast) , the 'EDIT' option here is no longer active on my postings,
so I can't repair ...  just a mess.

But
Many thanks for looking and commenting !

Yes, but I had already uploaded 800 posters with Picturetrail. I could only invest so much time because I'm in-between projects, now this mess here, just time wasted.
Maybe I'll upload some other genres/talents at Bucket and post some in the other threads..

I feel your pain.  I just learned Imageshack cut their unlimited free uploads to 500.  I've got about 5,000 pictures that I was using my movie review site over the last 5-6 years that are all going to vanish here starting May, luckily I'd been re-uploading a lot of them to Google over the last year and changing most of the links on the blog but it's a pain, probably still have about 25% of my site's pictures linked to Imageshack.

I'm not into programming but I was told it is not such a big deal to equipe a forum website with a 'DOWNLOAD FROM YOUR PC' option. It would save so much time and trouble.

Problem is that the image is then hosted by the forum and stored on its allocated disc space.  It isn't fair to make Holiday and Thierry pay more in disc charges so you can show off your posters.

Yes, I didn't think of that. I didn't know who is financing this forum (others founds ways). I just thought a poster forum without many visuals is like a discothek without music. I got carried away anyway. I go back to work now, I never wanted to 'show off' in the first place anyway.

I would love to see what you would do if you DID want to "show off"!

I for one was honored to see so many wonderful posters and I am sure many others feel the same way, so you in no way "wasted" your time in sharing them.

I second what Bruce has said.
I want to see more of your posters and I want to see the ones that Picture Trail deleted replaced.
Seems to me your special collection needs it's own web site gallery.
Hint, hint...

Just use Photobucket as others have suggested/noted.  Great posters deserved to be shared
