For those interested in Bond memorabilia ...
... Check this out (I know I'm selling it, but it is mega rare and may be of interest as it does include a set of posters).

Thanks for that Stew. They are quite local to me, I always check out local Auctions as it does away with postage  ;) Usually to no Avail, but these had a Bond poster and a couple of French one's this week.

Paul, your website link isn't working!
Or have you already talked about this!?

I suppose I better put this link here for those who only read the Bond thread - I know a few lurkers do at least:
Channons Inaugural Auction tonight.
6:30pm GMT at The Royal Automobile Club in Surrey, UK.

There's a few Bond posters in there, as well as other Bond memorabilia and Aston Martin memorabilia.
Myself, I won't be bidding on anything, but I will be watching the auction unfold; rather intrigued, as some others, to see how much the Goldfinger Red Variant poster goes for.

Best,

Whoever paid $1,000+ for this NSNA quad in 2008 is probably kicking himself in the arse:

$74 for the NSNA quad, and rolled, is a bloody good price!
Well done to whoever got that! Completely missed it - I would have gone for it!

FYEO ... Surprised there hasn't been some sort of official celebration for it.

Yeah, I still think FYEO might be Moore's best Bond.  The producers knew that they needed a more serious film coming off the farce that was Moonraker.  Its almost like the same transition we saw between DAD and Casino Royale (albeit with an actor change as well).

Agreed, Matt!
For me, DAD is my least favourite Bond movie.
I know for a fact DAD was NOT made in the way it was intended by the writers.

Yeah, I still think FYEO might be Moore's best Bond.

Probably, but I will always prefer The Spy Who Loved Me, I think its Moore's best moment. Love the locals, villains...whole things flows really well.

Choosing between those two broads? Bach or Munro? Now that would have been a great problem to have. I think they are both incredibly sexy. Ill take one of each..

I wasn't even sure I should claim that about FYEO.  TSWLM is a fantastic movie no doubt.  I struggle between which I ultimately like better... TSWLM is a more grand movie (megalomaniac villain, under-water city, impending nuclear annihilation of the known world, etc...), while FYEO has a darker edge (with revenge, spy games and double crosses).  Both are great for different reasons.

I think Bach is hot... 6" forehead and all!

I would put TSWLM in my top 3 of all time (Bond). Its just pure fun from start to finish. Plays like a Tintin adventure (those books kick ass too).
But as you say, 'grand' is a great adjective here. FYEO is pretty great, but has some of those 'ugh' parts for me personally that I find more egregious than the ones in TSWLM (hockey rink scene, VW flipping down the cliff bit, awkwardness with Bond and Bibi, etc).
