So I ran across the insanely-terrific opening credits for Skyfall here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uto3lp-ewkU

It occurred to me that many frames of the credits would make great concept quad posters. Here are 11 concepts:

Here are my Top 3:

1) Picked up this 1S. Generally femmes disdain or are "meh" about MPs but these lovelies adore the latest Bond MP:

2) As I recall, Lazenby had announced he would relinquish the Bond role after just one movie, so the studio didn't want to use his pic. Is that right Bond MP aficionados, that means you Simes....

My love of Bond lobby cards of the US / UK and English language International styles has lead me to venture into some spurious South African numbers.  One has been highlighted elsewhere on this thread, and when someone said they had others from SA, I thought more of the design I already had.

Not so.

Anyone ever seen these?  Anyone have the eight card for sale??

Some time back, I posted an image of a From Russia with Love lobby card whose origins were curious.

This card being the other suspected South African one...

"Recovered" the LALD 1S, arguably the best Bond 1S:

Bought this one:

Three models claimed they were shown:

*****

Some Southern newspapers covered up the model with blue jean shorts in their newspapers - can't find pic.

Famously parodied:

The studio is reportedly paying Daniel Craig $120 million to star in the next two movies.

*****

When asked if he’d consider doing another movie after Spectre:

"I’d rather break this glass and slash my wrists. No, not at the moment. Not at all. That’s fine. I’m over it at the moment. We’re done. All I want to do is move on."

Craig went on to clarify that “if I did another Bond movie, it would only be for the money.”

*****

Dc later changed his mind....

In an interview about his life and career at the New Yorker Festival over the weekend, Craig suggested that playing the iconic secret agent a couple more times may not be such a bad gig, after all.

“As far as I’m concerned, I’ve got the best job in the world. I’ll keep doing it as long as I still get a kick out of it. If I were to stop doing it, I would miss it terribly,” Craig said.

There are two versions of that poster.  The little white box for Sheena Easton is also available coloured in red.

This of course for the completists and deranged...

Still a valid claim though, even though I would bet a pound to a pinch of shit that the person bringing suit wasn't aware Eon had bought the rights to the two rogue movies and so had brought them under the umbrella of ownership etc.

Well I've got 10 Bond MPs now, pretty decent but not much compared to the 36 I owned in Round 1. (But what possessed me to buy that C- Spectre poster?)

This could go in the other thread entitled something like, 'Posters you've bought that you've only ever seen for sale once.'

I have known of its existence for many years but unlike a couple of other posters that I know of, AND am aware who has them (but not for sale), I never knew who might have had this one.  Ebay provided.

You bought it?!? Congrats! I wasn't even close to being the high bidder. As far as I know it's one of 2 U.K. Quads to list all the Connery bonds together. The other being a locally made one I found a few years back. Was yours studio printed? Or was it printed with blank circles and the titles added later?

Hi,

I believe the two, top left of this page, are the two you may be talking about.  Both are studio printed, no written or stuck on titles added later.

Does this answer your question?

Yes and no, the one you bought lists all the Connery film titles, the other only slightly more common "Season of Bond" poster does not. The second poster I'm referring to was a locally made all-text poster with a yellow background. I think I posted it 5-6 years ago when I first bought it. That poster may or may not have coincided with the festival, it's hard to say for sure. I'd dig up a pic for you... but Photobucket  moron1

Oh!

Not sure I remember the yellow one to which you refer...  And was that printed with...what?  Film titles again?

Would be interested to see it if time allows.

Many thanks.

Just wondering if you found that text only poster image Harry...

In the meantime, some Bond quirkiness with a bit of Dan Gouzee art thrown in.
