One for the completest of curios.  One that could also go into the thread devoted to posters you've bought but never seen for sale anywhere before, or indeed, and in this case, never even seen.  Period.

Smith's Crisps is a UK brand of crisps and they seemed to have the clout to get a poster with their logo on it.  Something similar to the Seiko-promoting posters for both Spy who Loved Me and Moonraker.

I checked with Adam and he too has never come across it.  Anyone here seen it before?

Interesting!  Is it a full size quad 30x40"?  Do you know if it was meant for theater use?

Yup, full size.  Folded only once horizontally, they are usually folded twice.

As to its use, bearing in mind I have only now come across it, and am myself of such a vintage that I saw Octopussy in the cinemas, and so saw the posters used for display, I can honestly not say.

One can surmise based on the similar Seiko posters, and I guess they were used for theatre use.  But I never saw any of those either; then again, conscious awareness came later '79.

Back in the day I enjoyed creating these proportionally-spaced collages of the major posters of the first 16 Bond movies. They are also here (images are larger):

I guess my favorite is LALD. What's yours?

Thanks Tang! I lost track of my videos years ago. Where did you find them?

Ah.

The TND Teaser 1 sheet had two variations.  The prominent 007 in dead centre is coloured silver in one, and mirrored foil in the other version.  The mirrored foil version was reputed to have been recalled 'cos it caught fire in the lightboxes...  So they say.

One of these days I'll recreate/update it.

And I like the Eyes Only posters!

This poster never worked for me.  I could never understand what was trying to be achieved with this, nor could I understand how anyone connected with design and printing could let it through the approval process.
