I thought so too.  Only, the timely mentioning of the coincidental 'bonfire' was a stroke of genius not seen in her English. The message was on the 6th.

Either way, happy not to have bid.

I like Tang's lighting and added music. It's his signature look and style.  thumbsup.gif

Well sir, that is one way of popping it up there.  I like the lateral thinking.

Sorry for the trouble.

The Spy Who Loved Me Marler set went for a hammer price of £890 today at Vectis.  This plus the 25% BP bringing it to ~£1100.  The five items went independently but I guess with these things, if someone wants the whole set, one is pretty much committed by the first win.

(I only say 25% as the Vectis software wasn't working on either IE 8 or 11, so I am believing the higher BP will be payable.)

I'm surprised you or Adam hasn't started a "Spectre" thread, ready for the new Bond film......

Well, I thought about it but I figured everyone would already have known about the 'news'.  The media hasn't been shy in covering this.

As for input, if and when the bullet / octopus design surfaces as a 1 sheet, I will be happy to add to the Bond thread.

I've been seeing a slight rise in prices on Bond posters over the last couple months.  Is this seasonal do you think, or linked to the SPECTRE announcement maybe?  Or is it just plain old inflation?  :P

Has anyone else got the "James Bond 50 Years Of Movie Posters" book?  I just received from Amazon today thinking it would make a nice quick-reference piece....but the binding is cheaper than cheap: the cover arrived torn away from the book and is holding on, literally, by threads.  I wonder if its worth asking them to replace it or if they are all like this....

Ask for a replacement - mine seems solid enough.  Yours might be a rogue copy.

Cheers.

My luck they're out of stock of course, but I'll give them another try when they have more.  It was pretty disappointing to open it and find this.

Stumbled across this listing for a Polish Dr.No.

No idea as to authenticity or value, but I'd never seen that particular artwork layout and I have to say, its one of my favorite with the portraits taken from the film and the way the beach cuts up through the center is genius.

That same poster has been re-listed at least 6 or 8 times now -- with no bids.  Not exactly sure what it is... probably a commercial design?  The size is wrong for theatrically released material (should be B1 size).  I would also imagine that if the old Bond films were finally released theatrically in Poland that it would be with the blessing of the studio and their logo would be all over it.

Cool design though!
