Just bought this, having said in the Aug thread that I had not been buying much.  (I will link that to this thread)

A printers' proof, but with elements flipped around to demonstrate that it was still a work in progress.

Not sure if of interest but...

Congrats on that one Simes, I see that one myself earlier this morning and wondered if anyone would snap it up being such a rare Bond find, it was a bit out of my "current" price range.

I'm a massive fan of Dalton's Bond and IMO his two films are two of the very best in the series, anyway great! pick up mate notworthy.gif

Here for your "enjoyment" is the latest piss poor excuse for a poster for NTTD. Note the November release on the bottom. I really wish this was a joke but apparently not. Bollocks!!

Sorry T, it is on 007.com.  So unless that has been hacked.

I am not sure this 'poster' will be printed, lack of credits etc when the bullet ridden Aston poster is now being printed and found on eBay.

I am sure it was thrown together to advertise the fact a trailer is being released at 12pmGMT today.

That all said, I can't get away from the idea that Bond is looking a little hunched over, or falling forward through imbalance.  Supporting himself by his watch hand on a zimmer frame or some such. Maybe a walking stick…?

And all this after the poster competition that brought forth veritable landslides of creativity and execution.

Sorry to be ever the voice of derision. Am sure the kid who popped this together properly earned his sandwich.

I saw a someone selling one on Facebook, so I think it has been printed.

It looks like James is opening the gate at the end of his front garden to pop out for a day’s work.

The last poster made to advertise a trailer was Bond poking his head around a doorway looking not a little furtive and worrisome.

This was another winning design.  But it was only ever printed as a maxi poster.  Not for theatres.

This latest could just be a chap cashing in on printing a hi res file.  But let's see.

Do you have a link?

Furtive and worrisome is a perfect description :)

The seller is legitimate, based in Canada. Here is a link - it's in Jason's poster auction group, which is marked 'private', but just click join and someone will approve you.

Not at all! And spot on regarding the trailer, looking forward to giving that a watch later.

I don't have a problem with photographic posters but this seems lazy even for a modern Bond poster. Especially as they've almost done this design before:

And Craig, bless him, looked just as impressive and as commanding there as in the NTTD poster.

Craig is a Co-Producer.  I swear to God, if I was in his position I would not be allowing my image to adorn posters like this.  Michael G Wilson, one of the producers, is also a photography fanatic.  Where's his input?

Not that I think my Paint skills will help my words, but this was what I was getting at.

^That is good, Simes  ;D

The designer is on Instagram (click through where he credits the photographer in his comment). I like some of his previous work (the quads for Death Proof and Hunger), I'm guessing the brief for a Bond poster must be pretty restrictive...which sucks for us collectors, but I suppose ticks the boxes for the marketing department.

thumbsup.gif Well done, Simon! Would make a great door panel!

Here's a thought. Perhaps Empire Designs produced this lame excuse for a advance 1-sheet to close out their deal with Eon and will use one of the fan produced posters as the regular style or one of the in theatre giveaways. If you go back and check out what the fans came up with almost any, ANY style there absolutely destroys this shit. If they go with Empire all the way this could be the first Bond film I won't get any poster for. It's almost as bad as the first advance for QoS. This is just fucking wrapping paper.

Apparently, this has also been released.  Bearing in mind I was wrong about the 1 Sheet, I daresay now this will also be printed.

Which, if so, seems to be indicative of a step backwards from the black Aston poster above.  No credits and very little else.

That one really is awful. I guess it wouldn't be a quad though as it has a PG13 rating so maybe a subway.

Well, this is the printed quad.

And, without wishing to grind on, it's bloody hopeless.  I swear to God, if I had an intern and this was all they could come up with, I'd have called it a day on the internship...
