It's simple - because they are the best and deserve the best in restoration ;D

Yup.

Thank you guys! Much kindness. So nice to get some friendly comment after so much hard work!

The 1910 NICE poster was meant to be sold, but the client were pretty darn happy with it and decided to keep and frame. I hope to get a pic of it when framed.

Ugh, Here's another mess from the bottom of the sea. That I looked at today

Probably over a hundred cards and  posters. Heavy cull. Lots beyond workable.

I hope you don't catch any bugs from that pile!

Was this lot found together or did some calamity (like a flood) befall them?

Hi Chris,

These are all found together. Full of sand/mud water damage.

Best,
Dario.

Just got back from A Christmas Story Convention with my autographed poster I had Dario mount for me. Just wish Peter Billingsley, R.D. Robb and Melinda Dillon had made it to the convention.

Didn't take any pics of the convention/signing. But I have some of the house I can post. Place was packed. All 4 actors said they don't see this version of the poster very often and Zack Wark "Scut Farkus" said it was his favorite version and would like to own one even made a point of calling his girlfriend/wife to come see it. Scott Schwartz seemed to be running the autographing, and lowered the price for me from $40 each to $20 each. I guess with posters they usually charge $40 a wack. The museum had 2 large versions and 1 daybill none linen mounted or framed well. This pic is taken on my way back to my room at the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel where we stayed and the actors did while filming. Some stayed there while we were also.

Here is the Quad for this film. Not restored but has the same artwork. Thought you might like to see it.

Christmas Story has a convention? I'm holding out for a Problem Child convention, then.

BTW, that daybill is the best format for that international art, IMO. (First time ever typing this).
Quad and one sheet leaves too much empty space, daybill looks natural for the art.

Not really a convention, they just had a 30 year anniversary celebration.

Does 3 hours of sleep count as the same thing?  ;)
