Might be a long time before I own the original US copies, Argentinian posters are generally not my first choice in foreign paper but I liked these ones enough to pickup over the last several years.

Agree you can't beat the French/Italian versions & certain Japanese posters are amazing with unique images, cool letters, easy to frame.

Ah, Rita Hayworth...  Great to see, Movieposters!  Beautiful in any country.  Thanks for posting.  Okie

Hello, I have some questions:

Why are B1 posters less popular in Japan than B2s?

Do studios print and distribute equal numbers of B1 and B2 posters to theaters?

Thanks

Regarding the B1 posters, they are tightly managed by the film distribution company.
Since the theaters must promptly return the B1 posters to the film distribution company after the movie is released,
these B1 posters will hardly be distributed to the general market.
Thanks.

Hideyuki is a good guy, and it's interesting to hear more about this.  I wonder why the distributors wouldn't require theaters to return B2s, etc., the same as they do with B1s, as there must be some reason why they're allegedly more strict with those.  Maybe it's simply a numbers game, where a lot more B2s are printed, so there are inevitably more that slip through the cracks.

Nice collection going there with those B1s.

There are fake Japanese posters.

I am hanging two fake B2s currently.

One of them I went and bought bought the real versions from Hideyuki to compare the two.... The other one, well. Its just far too disappointing to discuss.

The truth is that there are fake Japanese poters.
