We spent a good hour looking at the 70+ posters you posted back in February  Chris. I can tell you, a couple of those were added to our MUST HAVE list!  ;)

Picked up this "neo-noir" Naked Kiss (1964 US 1S SSF) tonight from HA.

The Where Danger Lives Blog has a great article listing the Top 75 "neo-noir" posters:

http://wheredangerlives.blogspot.com/2013/04/75-greatest-movie-posters-of-neo-noir.html

It describes Naked Kiss as follows:

Fuller’s strange cult classic is one of the original neo noirs, and the poster is one of the few you’ll see here that is done in the classic style. Three distinctive image areas create a sense of depth and dramatic scale, while the big tagline at the top keeps your eyes from leaving the composition. Not enough negative space, but I applaud the designer for not spoiling the film’s big secret, as the designer of the film’s Criterion DVD packaging recently did.

Picked up the 1945 re-release one sheet for This Gun For Hire from the Hollywood Auction yesterday for a decent price (although certainly more than I can afford!).   Unlike the original one sheet, Alan Ladd is very much the focus of this poster, which "perfectly captures the feel of early film noir."

Both releases are great - hope this one is going to be given its due by being permanently (and properly) framed

It's indeed a very nice poster, congratulations. Do not agree though that this poster captures the feel of early film noir. It's very white and too nice. Ladd even sports a little blush as if Laird Cregar has thrown him a insinuating, but innocent, remark

I don't love half sheets but I picked up the half sheet for Where Danger Lives tonight at EMP.  The image is fabulous but I can't help thinking how puny it is compared to the three sheet.  The insert also has the image. (The one sheet has different art and is quite mediocre):

Revised the collage image above to include the daybill, which is quite good and probably better than the insert and half sheet, but no match for the three sheet.

funny word that, "albeit", apparently Middle-English: http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/albeit
