Sellers who are dreaming
« on: October 03, 2011, 12:47:19 PM »
I started this thread as a place to show sellers who may be asking a WEE-BIT too much for the stuff they are selling.  I'll fire the first salvo:

I could put up 2500 of these listings by just linking one dealer.

Every single seller.  Movie posters are free advertisement.  Anyone who sells them is a thief, IMO.

Except for Bruce and Rich, because I like them.

Paul, I think killerposters on ebay takes the cake for most outrageous pricing for posters.  Someone else indicated he simply uses ebay to show off his collection, I have to agree.
Lowering the brow of APF since 2010.

Then he's a very sad man, most of what he's got is junk, and the good stuff we're sick of seeing.  Mind he has feedback, so something is selling...

I love the fact that he combines posters so that you can save on shipping.  What a douche.

Not any worse than I guy who kept interrupting me in an attempt to convince me that video posters are the same as theater posters and then got pissed and hung up...

Me: "Yes I was calling to see if the movie posters are still available"
Him: "Yes they are"
Me: "Can you tell me more about them, where did you get them, etc."
Him: "I got them when I worked at Blockbuster"
Me: "Oh, I thought they would have been original.."
Him: "they are originals"
Me:  "but they are for DVDs"
Him: "they are not reproductions"
Me: "well, I was looking for theater..."
Him: "They're still originals"
Phone (Him): "Click - Dial Tone"

I don't think I was the first person to call and say "oh, your selling video posters; could have put that in the listing"

I sent an email yesterday to this seller informing him/her that the Avatar poster listed is not a lenticular, and it is for the DVD/Blu-Ray release, not the theatrical release, as described in the listing.

At least he's only charging a very reasonable $100 for shipping. How kind of him.
