Unusual British Christmas Cinema posters...
« on: September 11, 2011, 09:59:37 AM »
I'm on the look out for unusual (mostly British ) Christmas Cinema Posters... I don't tend to post what I want, but I don't think this is a subject people will want, So...  If you have anything do let me know.

Here's a few examples of what I mean...

Thought I had a couple of others on my computer, but not. Anyhoo you get the idea... :)

Found this other one, it's an ordinary Double bill with a festive ABC Snipe added...

U.S. SIX SHEET POSTER  81X81

Such a great film.. and I do like this poster!

IMHO, this was the best filmed version done of the story. No one holds a candle (again, imo) to Alastair Sim, as Scrooge. I watch this version every Xmas!   clap clap

It is not.  However, it has been up for several years with no takers, and I am now prepared to negotiate its purchase rather briskly.

However, that said, unless you are a pure collector and just want to acquire the piece as a pure collector might, remember that six sheets are a challenge.

That said, I have never seen another six on this title.  I acquired this in 1986 in Marin County California from a man who had a nice selection of large format posters in better titles of the 1940s and 1950s.

I only buy anything as a collector, I think I've sold two posters...ever, and they were duplicates, to fund other purchases.  I do have a few UK 12Shts, even a couple of US 6Shts, and some bigger. Can't get them up as I don't have the space, but it's nice to have them... :D

Will sell it, or the three-sheet I have, which is also on my site.  I have seen other examples of this poster, however.  Or BOTH.

By "pure" collector I simply mean someone who does not care whether or not the poster is framed and displayed; they are collecting for the "pure" joy of owning the artifact from the film.
