RIP Albert Kallis :(

Together with Reynold Brown, Kallis was the pre-eminent 1950s horror/sci-fi movie poster artist, and, like Brown, he presented images FAR more appealing than the movies themselves!

Wow, I didn't realize Kallis was still alive.  He designed so many iconic sci-fi and horror posters of the 1950s, such as Creature from the Black Lagoon, Invasion of the Saucer-Men, Not of This Earth, Attack of the Crab Monsters, The Brain Eaters, The Amazing Colossal Man, The She-Creature and countless others.  His work is sometimes confused with that of Reynold Brown (the very famous one-sheet for Creature from the Black Lagoon has variously been attributed to both men, and there's still a degree of controversy as to who actually designed it).  I probably own more movie posters graced with the work of those 2 artists than any other illustrator in my collection. 

What a legacy Albert Kallis leaves behind...
