Monsters & Aliens! Your classic sci-fi and horror posters

OK this could be a fun thread. Who has good stuff in this category? Even non-collectors love movie posters from the 1950s/early 60s sci-fi/horror movies.

I've been wanting a showcase poster from this category and finally decided to splurge - and temporarily impoverish myself - for this 1958 Astounding She-Monster. (I bought it from a dealer for a mid-range auction price, so I got a reasonable deal. I have to make two payments so I won't get it until mid-July). As described by Heritage:

"A pair of crooks (Kenne Duncan and Jeanne Tatum), a kidnapped heiress (Marilyn Harvey), and a geologist (Robert Clarke) hole up in a country house and try to ward off a sexy blonde alien with a skintight metallic suit, high heels, and heavy lipstick (Shirley Kilpatrick), who can kill with just a touch. This is Kilpatrick's only known film role, and she has no dialogue, but fills out that glittery spacesuit quite nicely. One of the most striking science fiction posters of the 1950s, dominated by the sexy space monster, and an eye-catching design."

The one I'm getting is linen-backed and this is the seller's pic :

Wrong ... eyeroll
I know plenty of non-collectors and not one of them loves posters from the period you mention.
In fact, they think what we do is bonkers! I obviously disagree.

I've got two more originals from the 1950s.

Missile Monsters (1958):

"A feature-length abridgement of the 1951 serial Flying Disc Man From Mars. The story concerns the efforts of a Martian named Mota (Gregory Gaye) to take over the world. This being a Republic serial, Mota hires several earthbound henchmen in fedoras and pinstripe suits to complete his mission. Hero Walter Reed and heroine Lois Collier labor mightily to stop Mota and "fifth columnist" scientist James Craven. The Martian "bat planes" seen in Missile Monsters are culled from stock footage from the 1944 serial G-Men vs. the Black Dragon."

The Mysterians (1957):

From IMDB: "Aliens arrive on Earth and ask permission to be given a certain tract of land for their people to live on. But when they are discovered to be invaders, responsible for the giant robot that is destroying cities, the armed forces attempt to stop them with every weapon available. There is a charming toy-like nature to these scenes, as various futuristic weapons are employed against the invaders."

Never seen that one before, Jeff.  Excellent.

A superior thread this is.  Excellent choice to start it off with, Mel, she is freakin' shamokin.

This is probably my favorite that I own in the genre, although it pales in comparison to most of the previous ones, and I'm not sure if it's old enough to be in this category, but it is pretty cool IMO and from  my favorite era.

Sweet zombie jebus, how I love that "Daleks" quad.  If you ever decide to get rid of it, or, say, leave the house for an extended period of time, do let me know.

Love the Dementia 13 daybill. I will own one once I convince my wife to let me hang it in the living room. Because that one would have to be displayed.
