IIRC it is also a unique design. Did any other countries use this image?

I'm pretty sure that design is unique to Japan.

Yeah, I know all y’all hate it, but I suppose they had to put out a “floating heads” poster and it’s OK for that type. I like Luke and the redness:

Is this the final one or another one of those « posters » that will never be printed?

Artist Dan Mumford has just released the first of four IMAX posters for The Last Jedi, just as he did with The Force Awakens.

Apart from the hidden image I found in the poster, apparently there is another hidden image in the poster

LOL. I think that's quite a stretch.

Mark Hamill is a surprisingly funny Twitter superstar. Star Wars dweebs sent him hundreds of poster parody images and he responded:

Ar what point, does the mockery/fun dilute the franchise to "earth" level.

The fantasy, wonder and spectacle are all vanishing, with this much contact between actors and the public (imho).

I somewhat agree. I assume most stars are pressured to constantly promote and interact with fans via social media solely to promote their careers.

But some are holdouts. Chris Pine (Trek, Wonder Woman) said "I've got nothing important or interesting to say!"

And it's arguably not that different from the past when stars appeared on late-night TV shows, were featured in newspapers/mags, and hired assistants to "ghost write" responses to thousands of snail mail fan letters.

Mark Hamill, to his credit, only devotes 10% of his posts to Star Wars. 50% of his posts are political commentary, issues of the day, and charities:

From HA:

Star Wars (20th Century Fox, 1977). Tom Jung Half Sheet Concept Artwork (30" X 24") and Half Sheet (22" X 28").
Just when you thought you had seen everything, this amazing artifact arrives after being hidden away for forty years. In 1977 20th Century Fox commissioned an ad agency to produce the campaign, including posters, for their forthcoming film Star Wars. The agency had used artist Tom Jung previously and asked him to come up with concepts for the campaign. He was given photos taken by unit photographers in color and black and white as well 2.25" still images printed on contact sheets. Jung came up with the wonderful design for the now famous Style A one sheet as well as the designs for the insert and half sheet posters. This amazing piece is the original concept artwork used to pitch the half sheet design to Fox, George Lucas and company. Included is the hand drawn pencil sketch (22.5" X 14") by Jung as well as a stat of the Star Wars logo and credits rubber cemented in place and Form-a-Line used to create a border on a piece of illustration board (30" X 24").....

Concept is very close to final:

These international posters kinda suck but there are 2500+ comments about them on Reddit, so they apparently serve their function:

How the mighty have fallen.

The new poster on the right looks like it was created for some indie film on a "less than shoestring" budget.

This is truly disappointing, imho.  :'(

Yow, spotted this insane auction result today. I think the consignor tried to sell it first on eBay for $20K. We emailed  few times and I told him he was bonkers to expect so much. Er, I was wrong, not for the first time:

Nothing too great about this poster but it’s great for the hobby that a major newspaper is hyper-analyzing a MP:
