40x60 would be a great bonus--Seems like a rare find?? Last year when I first started collecting again, I received a few posters from Canada and I made the mistake(?) of removing the ratings snipes which actually went rather smoothly, but did leave the paper discolored underneath. They were cheap posters so I wasn't too distraught but I am now unsure what is better, leave the sticker on or take it off but have the discoloration (both eye sores in my opinion). Do you keep them on morphine? What about the rest of you? Do you just leave them on (no matter how crooked they are which slowly eats away at your OCD!)?

Thank you for the comments everyone. Yes, I personally leave the tape snipes on the poster, but I only have a few posters where the snipe was present. I have had two posters where the tape just fell off as the tape had been on the poster for so long. In those two cases it did leave old yellow tape residue underneath.

Tob: An in your face rifle with scope and pink star earrings! So great!

Antoine: That Laura is striking in its juxtaposition of color.  I like it, too. I'm still in love with Gene Tierney. That '46 Bride is very nice and Matias perhaps said it best!

KOISOKOK: Nice going on three definition of "cool" threes!

morphine: Local pickup of a Star Wars 40x60???!!!  You sure have an amazing local Canada honey hole to find a poster like that. Very cool and nice looking poster portfolio wood case you have there.

struzaholic: Here's a toast to your recent acquisitions of great posters with painted art! There's a cool variety of powerful ladies and dragons!!!

Okie

Hi everyone, I apologize that it's been so long since I've actively posted.
My poster collecting has been very slow for about the past year or so now that I've been busy with life and focusing my finances on life stuff. I've sadly had to let several go that I've wanted and have been mostly only buying rarer posters that are more like "if I don't buy this now, I'll never see it again".
That is the case with the two beautiful posters that I've recently added to my collection thanks to eMoviePoster! I've been after these two for a LONG time!

The first is for 1981's "Centerfold Fever". It's an adult film that I have never actually seen (not really interested in that type of film, but may check it out just for curiosity). The main reason I grabbed this poster is because I absolutely LOVE the theme song "Beautiful Forever" by Miss November and the Calendar Girls. I've listened to this song so much over the years. It's just so catchy!
Here's the link to the song: https://youtu.be/G1oSDzQg2lE?si=2y_eVpiIi-sxwJe0
Trust me, you won't regret listening to it!

The next poster is for 1987's "Slammer Girls" by Chuck Vincent. Chuck is one of my favorite directors of the 80s! If his name is attached, you know you are in for a good time! This movie is a hilarious parody of "women in prison" films and features Beth Broderick of "Sabrina The Teenage Witch" fame! If you enjoy women in prison films and comedies, I'd highly recommend it...but I'd honestly say that for any Chuck Vincent film! Sadly most of his work is still stuck on VHS and not easy to watch.

Did anyone get anything from the Larry K. Springer collection sale at Heritage this past weekend?  Among the usual suspects, the top winners were a slew of UK quads for classic Hammer movies that did very well ($18,750 for The Mummy!).

I didn't even know there was a sale, so no.  Since Trump's horrendous tariffs, I have been taking a gigantic step back on collecting and basically stopped buying anything a little expensive.  So I am not too upset I didn't know about it.  I'm concentrating on other things.

T, I think a lot of folks felt the same way as you did and sat this one out too: aside from the Hammer UK quads which mostly did extremely well, a lot of heavy hitters sold for a lot less than they normally would.  For example, I was able to snatch a rare 3-sheet for Creature from the Black Lagoon for a mere $8,750!  I picked up a few other things at that sale that I will post once I receive them from Heritage.  It definitely feels like a buyer's market at auctions these days...

For sure.  The amount that I lost is staggering (at least in my book) and I would consider myself okay financially.  So I can only imagine what others have lost.  All these 401ks...  But hey, they wanted him, they have him.  It will come back eventually, it always does, but until then, I don't see the point in spending money on what I view as frivolities.

If you have the cash though, as you seem to have, it's a perfect time to grab stuff.  Great buyers' market, terrible sellers' market.  I feel for anyone trying to sell stuff right now.  Thankfully, I've never been in that boat.

I too am probably about to start ramping down for a while now as well (easier said than done) and try to only focus on more rare items.  I may have just added one such type poster this weekend but won't have a better idea of its authenticity until I get it in hand.

I have yet to see either of these two posters you have added here (in poster or movie form). These are great, especially SLAMMER GIRLS!  Great artwork on that one--I will have to add this to my ever growing wish list :(  I can't say I am in any way knowledgeable about the "women in prisons" film genre but I feel as though I have seen one or two movie posters that probably represent this category.  Pretty cool.  The poster for CENTERFOLD FEVER looks like it is photographic in nature, is that correct?  Similar to you, I recently won two adult film / sexploitation posters from emp (not yet shipped out) that I have never seen -- but I got them because I like the artists -- Not sure I will ever see them either and certainly not with my spouse as I am already dreading the longest eye roll in history from her when the posters arrive...

I finally received my M German poster from Propstore (they do take their sweet time shipping things lol), so here it is.  What a beauty!  I can't wait to have it framed.

I also just got the lots I won at the Larry K. Springer auction at Heritage (apologies for the crappy pics full of glare, I lack a proper set up to decently photograph my posters).  Besides the Creature from the Black Lagoon 3-sheet that I mentioned before, I also picked up a rare folded copy of The Mummy's Ghost (1944), and a fun 6-sheet for The Deadly Mantis.  The Creature 3-sheet has been on my wish list forever, so finally acquiring that one has been very satisfying.

Glorious!  Great poster for one of the best movies of all times.

Thanks for the nice words of encouragement, guys!

Brian, I agree that it feels like a great time to be in collectibles these days.  Even if sometimes I can go for months without picking anything of note, when it rains, it pours lol!

I will make sure to post a pic when M is back from the framer.  Speaking of framed posters, I never posted a pic of my Laura and Bride of Frankenstein French posters in their new frames, hanging side by side in our guest bedroom, so here it is:
