PM me a list of what you don't have and I'll keep an eye out. He does get in the odd Hammer now and again.

There is one thing that I don't understand Ari. You must have every Hammer daybill produced on this planet. ;)

So far there is one I know exists that I don't have, BUT they made HUNDREDS of movies, most probably never made it to our screens, but you never know. The NON HORROR ones are the hardest as sellers generally dont know they are HAMMER and dont list as such. Ill make a new thread re HAMMER and list all the titles, its scary.
But last count 130+ unique hammer daybills (some are variations in art of the same film though).

EDIT, Hammer films thread http://www.allposterforum.com/index.php/topic,1693.0.html

The uber-cool Butch Cassidy Style B - a little beat up but I got a very good price and my flip frame will cover up most the issues. Also, since I acquired it cheap, I can afford to LB it:

Not trying to belittle your acquisition Mel as I am sure you are very happy but, personally, I think the Butch Cassidy paper is just terrible!

Yes it is a dynamic image but the layout and colouring just seem so bland to me.   Not a poster I would ever pay real $ for.

But then again, MANY people have daybill hatred (I call it envy ;) ) so what do I know?

The coloring scheme is deliberately muted and faded to mimic an "Old West" style photo or a "Most Wanted" poster.  It's popular because it shows the last scene of a beloved movie, shows Paul Newman and Robert Redford - perhaps the best buddy pairing ever on screen - and is "country of origin."

Got me a BRIDES OF DRACULA (Belgian):

I had wanted one of these for a long time and I must say they are even more beautiful than the photo can convey.

Picked up from Heritage tonight - that is one bad-ass looking dude.  Supposedly they're going to remake the movie.

This may be one for MOPO, but do you all reckon I should do with this...  As you often read from eBay sellers, this 1935 WC is in Mint* condition!

*Perfect condition except for 4" section missing from right side and ~10" combined sections from top and bottom.

Seriously though, I of course realize that this WC is severely trimmed.  However, from what I can tell it is probably quite rare... between eMovie, Christies and HA combined there are no reported sales for this title of anything larger than a lobby card.*  I'm sure there are other early Universal Horror films without significant paper, but I was quite surprised when so little turned up during research.  What would be the best course of action to protect its value?  Should I leave it as is?  Should I have it restored?  If the later, there would clearly be some major re-creation going on... and I'm not even sure how they would know what it is supposed to look like.  There are no records of PB sales, although Bruce sold a herald with a very similar photo of Heather Angel that might be used.  Still, I'm not even sure how a restorer would figure out the original layout.  That said, is there any *value* left to protect?  Is this thing worth anything?  I guess it could make an interesting set of movie themed drink coasters if nothing else... :)

Thoughts?

To be fair, in its trimmed state my WC is actually smaller than a lobby ;D
