Bearing in mind what Skyjackers said, can't your guy still receive the posters, but just hand them all straight over to you...

He's tried, but nothing.  He's had a couple from his friends at other Cinemas, but they all seem to have their outlets..

Oh well.

Guess we all knew it was always going to happen.

Push to shove, the modern output was never worth our time collecting anyway.  Perhaps this will serve only to reinforce appreciations of the output from the earlier decades.... Which is entirely appropriate.

And it will also mitigate the outpouring of lamentation over the lack of design efforts.

The Irishman - 3.5 hours long but felt only like 2 hours - fantastic performamces by De Niro/Pesci/Pacino - I only wish Harvey Keitel had featured more. This followed an on-stage interview with Robert De Niro on Friday which I was lucky to get tickets for.

How is that even possible, Mark?!  Amazing you got tickets!  The closest we get to live De Niro here is Saturday Night Live!  Okie

This was a London Film Festival event so I used BFI membership/American Express privileges to get one of the 450 tickets. Unfortunately there was little chance of getting anything signed because of the heavy security and the surrounding mob.

A Danish film on Netflix called, The Guilty.

Think Phonebooth or Buried in terms of an entire film based in one enclosed physical location.

Very tense, utterly engrossing.  The premise, a chap on a '999' emergency call centre managing an incoming call.  All focused on him.

One review I saw of a person having seen it in the cinema was that he 'had got to the end of the film and realised that he hadn't touched the beer he had bought.'

Best.

Just got back from seeing THE IRISHMAN theatrically. Wow. Everything the critics are saying is true. Just riveting. How great is it to see Robert DeNiro again in a genuinely great film and not wasting his time in some below the line piece of crap? If you plan on seeing it, absolutely see it in a theatre on the biggest screen you can find and not on a TV monitor or God forbid, your phone.

Lucky.  I just can't find the time for a 3.5 hrs movie.  I so wish I could, but it will have to be a 3 installment Netflix TV movie.  Can't wait.

The first John Wick movie. Man, that was a lot of shooting. I liked the hand to hand action a lot more than the shooting.  Must have been challenging choreographing all that action.  Okie

The 3rd one will give you much more of the hand to hand along with even more shooting. I didnt think they could turn it up much after the first one but damn can they...they turn it up each movie.

Ford vs Ferrari.

Loved it! Day one 4k buy.

Bale in my mind is the best actor of this generation.

Even Damon was great.

The Turning. I'm an easy critic and enjoy almost anything, but I would pass on this one. A few decent jump scares, but the ending is confusing and you never get an explanation for anything that happens.

The Lady Vanishes (1938, Hitchcock).  Still holds up well in many ways to me with both drama and some humor.  I found both the train passengers reluctance to get involved and trust in honor interestingly juxtaposed.  Okie
