A live interview with Martin Scorsese on stage at the British Film Insitute. As far as I am concerned he is the greatest living film director and to see and hear him in person is an absolute treat.

Sounds cool. Was there a film screening, also?

There's been a season including restored prints of Taxi Driver and Goodfellas - and before the interview an incredible montage of clips from his movies.

Now that is time well spent, you lucky guy.
I watched Gangs of New York again today.
What a director!

Watched an oldie I haven't seen in years -- What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? (1962)
Classic chiller.
I think I might've enjoyed it now more than when I first saw it.

Such a creepy flick. Davis and Crawford were amazing together in it.

Im anxious to see what this is all about, too. Feud starring Susan Sarandon and Jessica Lange.

Looks good, in telling the behind the scenes account.

Last night --

A Streetcar Named Desire (1951)
, with Brando, Vivien Leigh, Kim Hunter and Karl Malden. What a great flick, with such powerful performances. And to see Ms Leigh playing faded, southern belle, Blanche Du Boise, with thoughts of her portrayal of Scarlett O'Hara floating through my mind.

Last night I watched one of my all-time favorites.

<a href="https://www.youtube.com/v/6QR6_17mn5s" target="_blank" class="new_win">https://www.youtube.com/v/6QR6_17mn5s</a>

Loved it when I first saw it in theaters in 1981.
Still love it today.

Logan:

If you want the feel good movie of the year, you've come to the wrong place.
Sadness from beginning to end. Wraps up Wolverine's story pretty well though.
I'll miss Hugh Jackman as Wolverine :(

I watched this last night, too. Ted's nod inspired me to give it yet another go.

Whatever Happened to Baby Jane (1962) is truly superb.

Surprised no one mentioned watching this.  Pretty darn good, and cool to see on the IMAX big screen.  8)

I just came back from watching this,  what a great film.
Thanks for the recommendation I wouldn't have known about it otherwise

Just received the new Cinema Paradiso release. May be my favorite film - newly restored from the original negative on Blu-ray by Arrow Films, both theatrical version and the director's cut. And Morricone's score throughout...

I watched The Room for the first time a couple nights ago.  I know, where have I been all these years.  Wow, just wow.  I can't wait to see the Francos movie.  This is just incredible.  One of the best ever.  So awesome.

You're tearing me apart, Lisa!!!

By the way, can anyone tell me why it's called the room and why they're wearing tuxes to play football?

In honor of the teaser that HA is auctioning today, I watched this last night- The Invisible Man (1933). It had been forever since I last watched it, and I forgot how much humour James Whale injected into this flick, too, with a cast that includes the always over the top, Una O'Connor. clap clap clap

Ive watched the first 2 installments of Feud: Bette and Joan on FX On Demand. I think this is one heck of a production, from all aspects. And the production values, sets, locations, music etc are all top notch. clap clap clap

Watched episodes 3 and 4 of Feud and they have been just as entertaining. clap clap

As Ive watched it, the only criticism I would have is the way Jessica Lang is speaking. At times, she sounds much too proper and "little old lady-like." Joan Crawford was much more of a presence than that (basing that observation on watched interviews from various talk shows she did during that same time frame).
