Thanks for the comments Chaps, but I have a boat load of Quads to get yet (I don't have an Underwater Quad Harry ;)).

It would take me more than 24 hours to find most of them. :-\

Looks awesome, Paul, but the eyes on the quad dont quite have that "fear factor," compared to the US material, IMO. The red/yellow combination has much to do with it, as well.

We're only cheap here in the U.K. Jeff, A two colour is all they could afford on that title. ;)

One of the best posters I have seen for THE WOLF MAN.

The color scheme, spot on imagery of Chaney and Ouspenskaya, and overall composition make for a tremendous presentation, IMO.  sm1

This is a great poster, Jeff.  Is it an original release?

Ive never seen this French Frankenstein poster before. I found some background information on the artist, too:

Jacques Faria (1898-1956) was the French-born son of another famous artist, Brazil’s Candido Aragonez de Faria (1849-1911). Both men had prolific careers as illustrators of circus, travel, music hall and film posters. Candido de Faria is, in fact, recognized as one of the pioneer film poster artists, working as early as 1902 on Ferdinand Zecca’s "Alcohol and Its Victims." Both father and son's art is highly collectible today.

Of special note here is the prominent writing credit given Robert Florey and Garrett Fort (misspelled on the poster). Florey was originally commissioned to write and direct the film, contributing elements such as the brain swap and the windmill finale, only to be shunted aside and deprived of his screenplay credit when James Whale stepped up and took over. Florey protested but it was, arguably, too late to fix the American release print. Universal restored Florey’s deserved credit on foreign releases.

Saw this tense horror from Japan a few years. Ripped this nice international poster from the wall: Rinjin 13 (Neighbor 13)

Jeff, do you know whether that Werewolf (Varulven) Swedish or Danish?

I ask because I know of almost no Danish posters from the original Universal horror films. I have seen pictures of a few Swedish, but I believe only one or two Danish - and these were from the 1940's titles.

I have a suspicion that a lot of the Universal horror films were forbidden in Denmark. I know for a fact that Frankenstein was, and that even as late as in the beginning of the 1960's it was denied a re-classification. Of course, only a few years later the adult censorship was abolished and the film was shown on national TV.  :)
