Also bought this Moss a few weeks ago.  Forgot to post it.  I really like it.  Notice the gun.

I dont get the use of eastern language text on prints these days. I thought Die Hard took place in the US and was originally released here, maybe I missed the Japan tie in somewhere last time I watched it.

In the movie, Holly McClane works for Nakatomi, a Japanese company. The building is Nakatomi Plaza.

Looks like Struzan attended MondoCon and was on hand when these 2 prints were first offered there, at the beginning of November.

Too much money for print size, I pretty much quit buying 18x24 all together.

I did get the Ise Labyrinth today, but would trade if for a reg, I dont like the monotone prints.  Also got the Batman.  I suppose the Jaws and Rogue One they didnt hold any for online sales.

These Struzans do nothing for me.  I think it's the first time ever I won't be buying a Struzan.

And yeah, size is key (that's what she said!).  I canceled my Bullitt order yesterday after they messed up the sizes.  They had originally advertised it as a 24x36in.  It was 18x24in.  How could they make a mistake like that in July and not inform the buyers until yesterday.

Ridiculous.  Boo Mondo!!!

I think the likenesses and artistry on both those Struzans is fantastic. And the monochrome style I really like, too.

But I also wish they had been printed (or offered) in a larger size, too.

And I'd take either of these before the latest JAWS print by Durieux, which does zilch for me.

This is being dropped by Mondo US (random time/date), but it will be on sale in the UK on 11/21 for 35 GBP.

Very cool imagery, imo, by Jessica Seaman for what is described as the first horror film produced by the former Soviet Union.

Titled Viy [Spirit Of Evil] (1967)

Too bad it was also only done in the smaller, 18x24 inch size.

I think I like the original, Russian first release poster better.

I thought these images looked familiar, and after looking at various poster & print files I've downloaded over the years, I came across both of these (as well as others from this same series of Bela as Drac, Chaney Sr's POTO, CFTBL, Karloff's Mummy and Chaney, Jr as The Wolf Man).

I downloaded all of them back in 2012, so these prints have been around a while now.

He did these (and others) as original work for the Mondo Universal gallery show in 2012 I think...they decided to make prints of these two pieces for Mondocon this year.

So aside from these 2 that were printed for this year's MondoCon, the others remain as original works at this point?

Any idea, Tob?

Yep! Think that’s right.

There’s a new Universal Monsters Mondo show in January, so I wonder if the others will show up as prints there.

That would be great!

I think Struzan did a GREAT job on this entire series. He's spot on with each and every likeness, too.  notworthy.gif

I think The Mummy is the only must-have of the lot.  I'll probably get a couple more, but not too crazy about them.

Quite weak with art that's not up to snuff, imho. Karloff looks terrible  :-X :

Got a guy that went to the show last night, so I think I got 9 of them. Need to circle back and settle up this afternoon sometime.  Gonna cost me a bit more but its reasonable and just a flat per print cost, also dont have to fight the drops now if they even have one.  Disappointing the Phantom City stuff is the smaller size.
