I do have another rolled poster from the 1970s - Rocky II Style B (rare - and cool! - style):

Is that the one from eBay a few weeks back that came with a Rocky I 1-sheet as well?  I was very tempted on that one!  By far the best II poster I've seen.

definitely is the best of all the Rocky posters followed by the Rocky 4 poster where Stallone is wrapped in a flag

I recall that a linen-backed version came up on Ebay a couple of weeks after I got mine.  I also like the advance:

Cinemasterpieces sold this rolled Butch Cassidy Style A from 1969 (by the way, I'm looking to buy this for a reasonable price):

1969 rolled Star Child poster:

My folded 1974 re-release looks severely flawed compared to the rolled:

1949 Casablanca re release rolled 1sh

Certainly not the oldest or prettiest, but still pretty cool, and 62 years young.

I really like the sort of wax wash effect on the Casablanca and the muted red is excellent.
Great post..

There is some debate about the correct year for this poster on MOPO, but it looks like it is from '49 and that there were two versions:

It is definitely from 1949. Heritage has sold both versions. The other one is basically the same image with a bit more color and it is definitely much nicer.

Just found my framed Marnie languishing in a corner of my bedroom... it's in the condition I found it, pretty gnarly, but I'd never noticed before there's no evidence of folding.

It seems like more pre-1980 quads can be found rolled than pre-1980 one sheets, which are almost always folded.  Is that correct and any reason for it?

I also so have a Frankenstein and the monster from hell, and a One million years B.C./She D/B that are rolled also. I know there was extra posters printed of these two, as well as Dracula has risen from the grave. As at the time if you wrote to Hammer they would send you a poster. Hence quite low prices for these titles due to the extras printed, and I know Quite a few of these were never folded.

I think you are onto something there Mel, maybe Terry know's something. "Calling Quadbod".   Makes a change from Quadbod calling.

I'd argue that that wasn't the case based on 15 years of collecting. I've found pre-1980 rolled quads are significantly harder to find than rolled pre-1980 one sheets, but I'd be interested to see if Terry agrees.

I do have several rolled Quads, and have hardly seen any rolled 1shts, pre-80. It does seem right, though I've only been collecting for 37 years.  ;)

Nice Tang Lung - is that for Fist of Fury? Which country?

Did anyone here nab this rather beautiful rolled quad for Rosemary's Baby that went on ebay last week? If so, congrats! I had a go, but alas, my pockets weren't deep enough. Lovely poster that looks to be in amazing condition.
