Thanks for all the kind words everyone! This year, I was able to add some quality paper to my Dietrich/von Sternberg collection:
Started the year off right with this lobby. Love that lascivious look in Dietrich's eyes. NO ONE does erotic boredom like Dietrich:

I have had this window card title FIVE TIMES over the last decade if you can believe it. Each time, I upgraded the condition slightly. This is the best condition of the five I've owned, and I got it for the least amount of money by far, go figure.

I didn't even know this jumbo lc existed! But as soon as I saw it I knew I needed to have it. Morocco is truly von Sternberg's love letter to Dietrich. Later films get more harshly jaded and visually abstract...and dare I say, exciting?

More languid sexiness. Shanghai Express:

Last pick up of the year (well...we will see how the emovie auction shakes out haha). This Crawford still is from 1932!! And yet so modern it could be in a recent issue of Vogue. Incredible. A rare instance of Clarence Bull out Hurrell-ing Hurrell

Thanks for all the paper inspiration in 2021 everyone! Here's to a wonderful 2022...
