Wow!!! That estimate is way too low. Should add a 0 to the end of both numbers.

That's what I was thinking.

Yes, it's amazing how a little splash of color can take a simple duo-tone poster comprised of three stills from boring to exceptional.  Quite possibly my favorite 2001 poster -- which is saying a lot!

Some very cool pieces in here. And quite the mix of genres and subject matter -- film, circus, agriculture etc...

Yeah, it's definitely an interesting variety.

I've never seen so many lots with no bids.  Although there are a lot of other auctions with "house bids", that aren't actual sales, of course, but that's another topic.

The vast majority are being passed on, so far....

Maybe 8 bid on, out of 75 lots.  :o

Yep.  That is a true statistic.

It's fun to watch the slideshow, though, and wonder which ones will get any bids.  Unlike some auction houses where they pretend like every lot has actual bids.

Of all the lots (so far), the Bardot piece had the most flurry of activity....

I wonder...   ;D

I sure you hope you don't mean eMoviePoster.com

Of course it is easy to get bids when you start at $1 with no reserve OR buyers premiums.

I AM amazed that we have around 100 items each month that can't even get that first $1 bid!
We (eMoviePoster.com) hold 2,500 to 4,000 auctions every four weeks.
We have auctioned more movie paper for more money (in real sales) than any auction in the world.
We have the longest continuously running auctions of any auction, with over 1,914,280 to date from over 3,192 consignors.

Like I said, I think they are overpriced.  Plus, a lot of them are not that nice.  Rare, but not nice.  Also, Hungarian posters are a little bit of a niche market.  Not a lot of people into them.  Finally, there is the issue of size, at least for me.

I did win a couple 3, though.  Right size and right price, imo.

I tried.  But I stopped early because of its size.  Too small for $$$.

If the bids don't meet the high reserves, then don't they display "Reserve Not Met" after the auction ends?
