LOL.

Well, in this case, Morrie lives there, too.

In the table of contents, it's interesting how they call a 30x40 a "bus shelter poster."

Anyway, nice book.

Wow, that was overwhelming wading through all of that  faint2.gif.  I understand completely WHY they had to do such large groupings, but it sucks when you just want to purchase one card and have to deal with the 4-7 other cards that tag along with it...  Oh well, champagne problems, I suppose.

Well this can't be good for anyone, except maybe the auction house.

Funny you say that. I thought the same. I spent the last few hours admiring that auction. Some of the hand tinted cards are simply outstanding.

I've given up trying to turn pages at page 2... Too time consuming waiting for the loading on mobile phone. Is there a normal webpage as flipbooks are one thing I really dislike about the web.... Sites that shove problematic eye candy on us over providing the content we are there for

Yes. Not sure why they insist on this format. It is most unhelpful. I have not been able to  use the "search" tab so I had to go page by page. That said, I was going to do that anyway but it would have been most helpful having a better navigation tool as I wanted to identify if they were auctioning "my " paper.

Do note the emphasis on "my" as it will be "mine" hehe >:D

Gave up on the flipbook as well.  Went for the 215mb pdf from here:

https://www.profilesinhistory.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/Morris2web.pdf

Not sure how those work on phones but much better search abilities on my computer's pdf reader than the useless one on the fb.

All those lobbies and *still* only one lot for me from my list.  When will it ever end?

I opted to download the pdf catalog. And a better way, for posterity's sake, too.

I just received this 12 page teaser from Morrie & Co, in the mail. I wish I was planning to be home to see my family then. I would have made a B-line here.  girly2.gif

Auction preview is not up yet, but this is from Morris Everett I think in lieu of the auction that used to be at Cinevent.

https://www.facebook.com/HollywoodPosterAuctionConventionCleveland2015

NOV. 13-15 at SHERATON AIRPORT HOTEL
CLEVELAND HOPKINS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Bidding is now open and has begun:  thumbsup.gif

Looks like the lowest minimum reserve on anything is $100.00

As written and posted by Morrie, on MOPO, last night, re: his Cleveland auction and general results, from this past weekend:

"Another successful auction #23 grossed $211,000 before after sales.

Movie stills sales especially strong with a very low pass rate. Convention was only moderately successful and some dealers did quite poorly. Future events will probably rejoin Cinevent.

Great idea with lots of planning and heavy advertising but very poor local attendance. Socially great as old friends saw each other after several years but financially only a few benefited.

We will keep trying.

The Internet and getting older does not help conventions."

Coys are up to their tricks on the 1st December with a mostly Bond and a slighter Star Wars set.

They also have the Thunderball teaser quad, making two currently up for grabs in the same two week period.  HA being the other house.

First film poster auction, being held by Paddle8, and ending this Tues (Nov 24th), at 1PM, EST.

Nice selection of material, including Bond, US and foreign posters etc.
