The US OS is a work of art.
This is the work of, well, I'm assuming a blind man.

I figured it was done by the same kids who color daybills.

And yet there are still those who would say Heritage never ever ever "boosts" images

Added saturation is not needed, IMO; it can give a false sense of a poster's true color and imagery; THE MUMMY poster image on HA is the photo from the Palestinian auction / website... but with added "perks," is all.

To me, it's best to show any poster as they actually are.. dings, bumps, faded colors (or not) etc notwithstanding.  ;)

I know Rosa said she is lusting after some non-Bogie pieces in the upcoming Heritage auction, but I look at a piece as beautiful as this and think... Damnnnnnn that's sweet.

Sean. You are so right. Beautiful. But for some reason Bogie's face here doesnt do it for me. But this poster is beautiful. Agree.

The non-bogie one I really like... as in ''really''...''really'' like is this other one.
I think the  artwork quality is just exquisite. Though I somehow think this looks more like a Brini type of poster.

Nope, not yet.  I don't even know what's being auctioned.  I only look at the catalog.

ok so the HA catalog arrived.

Wish I could be as excited as Steve Martin in 'The Jerk' and scream "the new 'catalogs' here! the new 'catalogs' here!" but truth be told, this is not one of my favorite HA sig auctions.

Only a handful of 3 / 6 sheets and CGC lobbies and some of the sci-fi's I was hoping for are non-existent.  Not to imply this isn't the usual kickass HA auction, just not so much for me.    I'll possibly hold off til Sunday PM and pick up a few items in the back of the catalog - sort of the way it's been going for me with a lot of these auctions over the last couple years.

The Wolf Man Italian is really sweet but will likely go on the high end or more of the estimate listed at 10K - cool 'Bullitt' 24sh but estimated at 5-6K - one for the completest I guess...

I wonder if that Bulitt 24 sheet up for auction at HA is the same one cinemasterpieces was showing here on APF

Someone on MOPO or StyleC posted a link to an upcoming auction of what look to be an amazing collection of Italian posters.

If anyone can read Italian, can you advise if they are selling a physical catalog?

http://www.sancarloaste.it

Here is a flip book - at full screen the images look good: http://www.sancarloaste.it/Flip.aspx?Book=123#/1/

thanks for mentioning this!

by sheer happenstance, i'm going to be in turin for some days the weekend before before those auctions start...perhaps i'll get to see some individual posters displayed on the friday, that is if they display them.

now as for the italian part, i don't speak a lick of it, though it appears they do have catalogs as they offer annual subscriptions, so perhaps an email is best for a single one?
