And I can't move to Germany now.

But they generally approve of murderers in Germany

Just got their mailing in:

December 18, 2012 at 1:30 PM
MONSTERS WITH MAIDENS: A FILM POSTER COLLECTION

They show an image from a French "The Day The Earth Stood Still" (est. $1,200-$1,800).  No mention on their site yet of the posters being auctioned but it's sale #2299.

Thanks for the heads up.

You're welcome.  Probably nothing in my date range, but it's always good to share!

Another one...some of you may argue it's not in the MONSTERS WITH MAIDENS auction but I should like to point out it's not a spark plug...

...it's an alien robot

I dig the DRACULA and BRIDE portraits, but that artist really missed the mark on Karloff.
Shame.

I agree with you too, Ted. He's got a little too much of that steroid, square jaw and thick neck thing going.  ;)

But these, by Struzan, are just killer. All priced at $5,000.00 ea. The Creature, Phantom and Frank have all sold.

Pencil and acrylic on paper. Each is 18" x 24":

And, of course:

They are beauteous indeed.

This thread seems like the right place to post that our 13th Annual Halloween Auction is about to begin (Part I starts on October 25th and ends November 1st, Part II starts on October 28th and ends November 4th, and Part I starts on October 30th and ends November 6th).

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY OUR BEST HALLOWEEN AUCTION EVER! We don't want you to take our word for it, so we will be adding a preview gallery each day between now and October 26th, each dedicated to a specific size!

Today we added the first preview gallery, which is of the 72 half-sheets. Go to http://www.emovieposter.com/unused/2012HWpreview/halfsheets/ to see it. And then return each day to this other page, http://www.emovieposter.com/unused/2012HWpreview/, because each day we will add another link to to another preview gallery!

Remember that the Part I auctions won't begin until Thursday, October 25th at around 9 PM CST (so you can't view the actual auctions until that time). Best of luck to you on any of the items in this incredible auction that you bid on!

Censors missed a boob. I tried to disguise it a bit with the crop, but probably easy to guess...

I am currently holding a Movie Poster Exhibition and Sale in Brisbane. It was originally scheduled for a week but has been extended by 2 weeks due to an incredible amount of interest. It seems that people still like to see Movie poster "in person" rather than just look at images on the internet and it has been great to introduce people to the world of movie poster collecting. More about this with photos on OzeFilm ...

Thanks for your comments. Interesting that the people who have purchased posters have overwhelmingly preferred to get daybills rather than one sheets. They all say that one sheets are too big to frame and they dont like the foldlines.
