March 2021

My last purchase in February.

French Medium 1st release for 'Alice in Wonderland'

It's not the kind of movies I collect at all, but there's a reason:  I want to frame this poster for a girls room.
That didn't stop me from watching the movie (which I had never seen before) after I bought the poster.

I don't really care for Disney movie posters either (although they're obviously highly collectible and desirable to many), but that's a lovely choice for a girl's room.

Beautiful poster!!!   faint2.gif

I'm like you I think, I have absolutely zero interest in posters of movies I haven't seen, regardless of artwork, but I may have bought a few based on name recognition alone, and forced myself to see the movie afterward.  Can't remember any titles though, because it really so seldomly happens.

Super duper nice.

I collect Bardot too.  A few of those Germans are eluding me (like En Effeuillant la Marguerite or Doctor at Sea), while I own multiple of others (like x3 La Vérité and x2 La Parisienne.). I usually re-buy when I find a rolled version over a folded one or if the price is right, and since I don’t sell, I keep adding.  But I’m in no rush.  Hopefully one day I’ll own them all.

I've been purchasing quite a few recently - a mix of video store posters and theatrical posters.
My most recent winnings were The US one sheet for "Adventures In Babysitting" along with the UK variant and the Australian variant. I was really happy to get these and I'm definitely framing them and putting them up ASAP - they'll look great together!

Also recently purchased:
-Joysticks 1983 British Quad (30 x 40)
-Zapped Again 1990 Video Poster (24 x 37)
-Pretty In Pink 1986 Video Poster (12 x 36)
-The First Turn-On Video Poster (24 x 36)
-Fraternity Vacation Video Poster (27 x 40)
-Prom Night III The Last Kiss Video Poster (27 x 41)
-Killer Party 1986 Video Poster (20 x 30)
-Prime Risk 1985 One Sheet (27 x 41), US Video Poster (24 x 26), UK Video Poster (24 x 34)
-Project X 1987 Promo (?) Poster, Video Poster
-The Manhattan Project (1986) Video Poster
-War Games 1983 One Sheet
-Zapped 1982 One Sheet
-Can't Buy Me Love 1987 One Sheet
-Balto 1995 DS One Sheet
-Matilda 1996 DS One Sheet
-Serial Mom 1994 DS One Sheet
-Splitz 1982 Video Poster (12 x 24)
-Valet Girls 1987 Video Poster (27 x 40)
-You Can't Hurry Love 1988 Video Poster 27 x 41
-Once Bitten 1985 Video Poster (27 x 41)
-Radioactive Dreams Video Poster (27 x 41)

Currently bidding on an Australian One Sheet for "Some Kind Of Wonderful" as well as video store posters for White Chicks, Spongebob Squarepants The Movie, and 50 First Dates.

...I think I'm going to take a break after this! I've spent a bit too much I think! :o

Recently won a few more auctions, I'm trying to limit myself to strictly posters I know I won't be able to find again after this.
I need to keep telling myself I don't *need* it when I see new listings for now.  faint2.gif

-Joysticks 1983 US One Sheet
-Heathers 1989 UK Video Store Poster
-Mac And Me 1988 UK Video Store Poster
-Earth Girls Are Easy 1989 UK Video Store Poster
-Teen Witch 1989 UK Video Store Poster
-Kill Bill Vol. 2 US Video Store Poster
-Tomboy 1985 US Video Store Poster (I had one already, but I didn't this to get tossed out by someone who thinks it's not worth anything because it's one of my favorite films.)
-Slumber Party Massacre 1982 US Video Store Poster
-Rebel High 1987 US Video Store Poster
-Body Slam 1986 Video Store Poster
-I Was A Teenage Zombie 1987 Video Store Poster
-The Last Slumber Party 1988 US Video Store Poster

Impressive list for sure  notworthy.gif, but you should try to add some pictures.  I have zero idea what half of these posters look like.

Some of them are identical to the theatrical releases, but the UK store posters are different! Will post the pictures when I get a chance! :)

Not exactly an original movie poster, but I got a print of 1989's "Girlfriend From Hell" directly from the original artist, 27"x40".
He also signed it for me.
The reason I had to get it from him was because the film itself never got its own poster, it shared that with another movie as a double feature billing. I'll probably get one of those eventually, but I felt the movie deserved its own proper poster.
It looks amazing! Going to get a frame for it ASAP!

Also, saw this movie recently and fell in love with it, knew I had to get the poster!
Didn't see any on eBay, so I bought it from moviepostersetc. (I'm assuming they're a trustworthy source?)
It currently sits next to my Joy Sticks US One Sheet, so I have two arcade themed movie posters together. ;)

I never knew they made a movie about my ex. Need to find that one... On seconds thought, may kick in some PTSD.

I second, Sciotti is great.  I have a tiny little collection of stuff of his and I really like his art.

I don't think I've seen any other movies featuring Enzo's artwork, but I've got my eyes on Phenomena for sure!
I just ordered the frame for it and a few other one sheets I have and I'm very excited about getting them!
That has to be my last big purchase for a while though, need to cut back on spending! faint2.gif
