Actually I was a member a few years ago but life got in the way of my collecting addiction. Hopefully am back for good now!
I don't have any particular area of movie poster collecting. For me it is just whatever I like. Currently looking for items as divergent as a Veronica Lake French personality poster to the "Why So Serious" Dark Knight teaser poster.
I plan to get a spot in a local antique center (which is in a very artsy area on the NJ/PA border) within the next few months where I will have low priced lobby cards and one sheet poster, as well as some better items as well. I also consign through Bruce at EMP. Have a few items in the December auction, including the one sheet for "The Race" which was featured in one of his mailings about the auction.
I need some help with some topics such as storage,etc both at home and that I can use to help me when the spot at the antique center opens up.
Was a member of the MOPO listserve way back in the day. Before having kids some 20 years ago or so used to have tables at movie shows with a bunch of movie paper. Was mostly low end stuff. Got back into vintage sports memorabilia collecting a few years back and now hope to be back into the movie poster hobby for good.
