Kansas City Princess
« on: December 20, 2018, 07:13:12 PM »
I recently discovered the wonderful 1930's WB's film "Kansas City Princess" (Joan Blondell, Glenda Farrell, Robert Armstrong).  Typically when I see a classic movie that I like I enjoy looking at the movie paper issued for the film.  In this case I attempted to do that but came up with zero results.  Zilch.  I checked EMP, Heritage, Movieposterexchange, Moviepostershop, LAMP, Ebay and just a general Google search for a poster image.  On Ebay I did find a British lobby photo.  But, that is all.  I find it odd that from all of those places I would get zero results.  Is it possible there was no movie paper issued for "Kansas City Princess."

Thanks,
Matthew

Thank you Jeff.  Was this image from an auction house?

Hey Matt... I found it doing a quick search. And no, it wasnt from an auction site, so no price was given.

Jeff is a great sleuth!  I believe Scotland Yard knows Jeff very well in a professional capacity.  One of those things Jeff rarely talks about and usually only in dim light with mojitos.

Yes, impressive.  I looked all over and he found it right away.  The poster looks great.  Here is hoping that some lobby cards turn up at an auction at some point.
