Last night's Halloween treat:

Great cast, some of the actors were still up an coming, career-wise (Amy Irving, John Travolta etc). And Piper Laurie, as Carrie's mom, Mrs White, is just incredible!

CARRIE (1976)

Scary, powerful film and poster, Jeff!  Still gives me the willies!   Okie

Cross-posting for the All Hallows:
My friend, Charlie, and I both loved the original 1936 The Walking Dead starring Boris Karloff.  We both wanted this lobby card, and I'm sure glad Charlie ultimately decided to chase some other nice paper that day! I'm going with the movie was initially released on Leap Day (pretty cool) February 29, 1936, by Warner Brothers (sources list Febuary 29, March 1, and March 14).  It looks like reviews started showing up in early March 1936.  Happy Halloween & Samhain (my Celtic brothers and sisters!).  Okie

Last night... the 2006 remake of THE HILLS HAVE EYES

Pretty meh, imho. I liked the original from '77 better.

The Hills have Eyes (2006) is pretty good, IMO.

I watched Carrie (2002) for 20 minutes, turned it off, and watched the original.  Brian de Palma, Sissy Spacek, etc. are  star.gif star.gif  Much better, and spookier.  devil 2

You are wise man, Neo!  The original Carrie still gets the job done! Okie

I have been slacking this year.  Too much travel during the month to find time to watch and to keep track of everything...  I know I saw these, but I'm sure I missed a few more:

Curse of Frankenstein
Horror of Dracula
The Mummy
Chopping Mall
Lost Boys
Bloodsucking Bastards

Cool choices, Harry!  Man, it's been far too long since I've seen Lost Boys.  Okie
