Ordered my 1st banner last week. A mint BTTF. Haven't seen one about and thought it would go well with my current BTTF stash  :)

I got offered others but declined as I'm not sure if it's the sort of item that will appreciate over the years.

Any of you guys collect banners too?

I have a few for some of the modern films I like.  LORD OF THE RINGS, IRON MAN, KONG, etc.  I don't have any up on the wall yet, but someday....
You are starting a (no pun intended) future banner collection off with a nice one....  thumbup

I have a nice Pulp Fiction banner, but I only got it because it was cheap.  I too am unsure about appreciation... I don't imagine banners get displayed in private collections all that often.

OK, I think I'm done with Banners....

I was washing the car on the drive today, and heard a crash from the Garage, when I went to see what it was, found this...

I store my banners in the rafters and this one somehow fell down. Not very "lasting" these, and this was only a few months old.

They take up too much space anyway.

Gravity sux

You must be running out of space to be utilising the rafters... It was probably suffering up there anyway?

A crappy feeling discovering this  :-[

Paul, what was that banner made of? A kind of vinyl? It almost looks like the rolled end that hit the ground shattered, like a piece of plastic would.

Sorry to see that. Ouch!

Yes Jeff vinyl, it was cold in there too, which will have made it more brittle..

They are such a nuisance to store, I think I'll be getting rid of them...

Yep, banners and lenticulars.  Not made to last.

Makes total sense, Paul.

Soft vinyl that becomes more like hard plastic, due to frostbite.

But they sure look amazing if they ever get hung anywhere. I have about 30 left I would like to part with as well, but I absolutely hate shipping them so here they sit.

It is also a tough sell, dont want to give them away as they are not very common, but 90% of collectors have no interest in stuff that size.

Paul - If you're gonna pitch 'em, could you put them in an over-sized bottle into the pond? I'll keep a watch for it on my end... :)

They may be big, but I really like some of the art variation they provide. Dale, what do you have that needs ridding of?
Here are a couple of my favorites:

And of course this set:

There's no doubt there's some good images, it's the storage of them firstly, and then the fact they are easily damaged...
