Very very rare Goldfinger UK Original Lobby Cards
« on: April 11, 2018, 11:56:41 AM »
I was going to post images, but PostImage is now locked for some reason.  And the suggested new link seems to revert to the same locked link.

http://postimages.org/

Anyway, I am about to pop the below up on ebay.co.uk as Two Separate sales, but wondered if there would be someone here who might be interested.  To wit, I have two cards for sale.

In the James Bond genres thread, there are images posted there.

I was thinking of kicking prices off at 150 each.

Very very rare Goldfinger UK Original Lobby Card Connery James Bond 007

Contrary to the norm, the UK for some reason took it upon themselves to produce for both Goldfinger and Thunderball, a set of four lobby cards.  The norm was that the US were producing lobby card sets and in sets of eight.  These are the more normally known lobbies for James Bond films.

These sets can be seen advertised in the UK Campaign Books for both films on their initial releases.

On offer here is one card from Goldfinger, and another separate sale for one other card.  Colours are bright and vibrant.  Edges are strong.  Minor creasing in centre.  Clean on the reverse.

It cannot be stated loudly enough just how rare these cards are.  Personally, I have Never before seen these for sale anywhere, even when perusing the auction histories of Heritage Auctions or eMoviePoster.

While there is Not a reserve price, I have to start these cards moderately high much against my usual sales practices.  That said, the starting price per individual card is par with that of an individual US Goldfinger card.

Needless to say, the packing will be bullet proof and sent via Tracked and Signed For 1st Class.

Any questions, please do ask.

Bond fighting Goldfinger on the plane at the end of the film, shortly before he gets sucked out of it.

Seems Photobucket is still working for these two images earlier on in the Bond thread.

Have copied and pasted the links here for both UK sets of four.

I am just selling the two Goldfinger cards mentioned above.  Hope this helps people.

Cheerio.

so same scenes as the FOH but in 11x14" format?

are you open to taking 150 each, or you want to auction them?

I would prefer them to go to someone from the forums, to be honest...
