Normally I just shoplift a similar condition HA image for my eBay purchases but this one DOES look color-boosted (but I don't believe HA boosts all its images):

So here's the real deal:

Recently bought this OS for the 1945 film noir Escape in the Fog.  I like how atmospheric those 1940s posters can be.

Nice one Mel, I've always liked those Martian travel-style posters.

Damo - nice quad! I thought the film was good fun (I have a soft spot for the genre), I may have to hunt one down as well...

It's no masterpiece, but I like the set up and it's quite imaginative. It's also British,  so I give it some slack for that.

Really Rich, quibbling over "rare" is silly. That set sold twice for 270/180 at EMP in the last two weeks and is nowhere to be found elsewhere.

A couple from MPB - who owns that?  ;)

Need more diversity in the collection, even if politically incorrect:

One of these days, I'll take 5 secs to figure out what this movie is all about....

who's 'quibbling'

I really want to know why they are 'rare'
what was the print run, where were they distributed.
how were they acquired by the average guy?

by the way Mel, he's sold them 4 times as a set of 3

though I 100% disagree with the designation "special poster'
they are one sheets, period.

Actually rare posters should have an internal Temperature 120 to 130 degrees F; warm through the middle, lightly charred on the outside, browned around the sides and bright red in the middle. They should also be soft to the touch.

I'll "terminate" my Christmas vacay early to announce that Undead Santa and his Zombie Reindeer - who apparently follow the Gregorian calendar - will be delivering this Unholy Couple to me soon:

This super-dorky dude will forward it to PM for restoration, a la:

Seller is auctioning many similar posters (with high starting bids):

Previously, Good Santa's assistants surf-delivered these VERY BAD gals:
