Our lenticular collection...
« on: August 10, 2017, 11:00:12 AM »
Hi dear fellow collectors! As I love reading about other members' collection I thought it would be only fair to make a list of what we have and share it with you...

A couple of years ago we were in search for a (one) life-size statue for the entrance of our home cinema... When we went to Berlin to look at a Spiderman, we couldn't believe our eyes - not only did the guy sell MANY statues (he had bought a whole movie memorabilia store that had gone bankrupt) but all sorts of delightful things! Among them many lenticular movie posters... Well, we really lost all sense of reality and gave in to this sudden longing to bring home as much as we can... (First trip: Lifesize Spiderman statue. 2nd and 3rd trip (we had to rent a van): Lifesize Ironman, Batman, Yoda, Watto, a smaller Shrek & donkey, a Naboo fighter plane ...   and lots and lots of lenticulars! I was so fascinated I just couldn't say no to this opportunity!

So here is our lenticular/movie memorabilia collection! Unfortunately there isn't enough room to have them up, so I cannot provide many photos. At least we now managed to build a nice frame for the Matrix bus-shelter one! We will build a frame for the "normal" sized ones soon and will take pictures then.

That Matrix Reloaded poster looks great in the frame.

How big are the Spiderman and Batman figures, they look great. Nice entrance to your home cinema, just wish I had a house big enough to have a cinema room.

Thank you! Spiderman and Batman are both 2m (6,6') and Iron Man is 2m15cm (7,05').  When we bought our house there was a swimming-pool in the basement which was horrendously expensive to run. So we put a floor on top, put in a wall, and built a home cinema! I love it! We haven't been to the movies since, it is so much better. The only thing is you have to wait ages until the movies are out on BD.

Beautiful collection!
The Matrix lenticular and Spider-man statue are show-stoppers.
