MARC, I agree with T. You SHOULD start a GT thread. I'd love to see your full collection.

BRANDON, sweet free & easy pick up. If only all of our acquisitions could be like that...

It's almost time for my usual mid-month post. Here's a sneak peek sample-a-go-go of the post I'll put up in about 40 minutes or so (after it hits APF midnight):

DEMENTIA 13 (Australian daybill):

Nice. My Dementia 13 Teaser Daybill just went up for auction which is currently running on Emovie.

Arrived in the post today... 4 x 6 foot bus shelter teaser for Alien: Covenant (with three year old for scale.:))

This design was killer from the get go, but seeing it this big makes me appreciate it that much more.

Always wondered how big a bus shelter poster was compared to 3 year old 😂

I really like the design of this one. Hope it gets released as a quad.

Jollynice Chris..  hope to get one myself.

Though UK Bus shelter posters are metric at 1200mm x 1800mm, just so you know... ;-)

Nice shelter there, Chris. A hefty size, too, at 4x6. How's the printing quality? Crisp and sharp? (Tho in a size like that, and meant to be viewed from a distance, I guess it wouldn't be the same as that done on a OS?)

Thanks guys... it's a stunner for sure.

Jeff, I was surprised at how sharp it remained in the upscale. The quality loss is very, very minimal.

Paul, appreciate the conversion there! It sounds more impressive when you put the measurements in those terms  ;D

How does this always seem to happen? I had not received a notification from this page in days and decided to look anyway...and voila! Loads of poster goodness. (And then I got a notice stating there was something new added. Ha!)

DAMO: Great pick ups with the CASINO ROYALE posters. I did not realize there were more styles. I thought there was only one UK version.

SEAN: Thanks for the info on DANGER: DIABOLIK. I really will need to track it down. And your new additions---WOW!  As a fan of the series, my fave was , of course, the ILSA poster. Zowie!

RANDY: Good luck with your daybill. i saw it on eMovie and thought about "watching" it to possibly buy. It's such a cool poster. BUT I really need to STOP my bad habit of buying the same posters over and over.

CHRIS: That ALIEN: COVENANT is a stunner. WOW!  And so HUGE! I love the picture. The perspective of seeing it on my desktop screen makes it seem like your son is hanging from a wall next to the poster. Ha!

DEKE: Ooooo that IS a stunner. Beautiful art and a fantastic poster. Ole!

BRAVO everyone.

Good to know, Chris. It looks crystal sharp in your pic. And the "3 yr old scale" was a brilliant and fun way to show it.  ;D

Is the upper left part more lit due to a light you had there? Or is the image that way? Either way, it's cool and gives a bit of a spotlight effect.

Thanks, Jeff.

Regarding the upper left, it's a bit of both. That part of the image features a light that is being shown down from above (I can only guess to continue the numerous biblical references / themes in Prometheus) , but there is also a window about four feet from that corner as well.

Oooo Big Mike, you can just forward those on to me. What is that BOOK OF THE DEAD by Stephen King thing? Hmm.  And TROLL with Laura Gemser? How did I miss that? My fave is the Frankenstein one though. Super nice set.

I have no idea on the Book of Dead. Just bought it because of the image. Same with Troll 3, I know they aren't great films, but I liked the image. Abbott and Costello and the Frankenstein ones are my favourites from the lot as well.

Another The Mummy flick. The way they keep churning these out, they will grind the genre into dust, literally.

Oh boy.   pcorn

Cool POTC poster there, Paul. Im not a huge fan of this type of design where all the characters are looking right at the camera (or the viewer) like this, as it looks too posed (for me), but the character at the top gives it an added "creepy" factor.

Mike... NICE HAUL, there. I'd call that quite the Mutter load.  ;D

Fantastic mix of stuff, and I like the one Abbott & Costello in the horror mix.  thumbsup.gif

Book of Evil looks even better in your photo. too. And I like the landscape format of the Revenge of Frankenstein, too.

What Godzilla flick is this one? (the English title, I mean).

Another The Mummy flick. The way they keep churning these out, they will grind the genre into dust, literally.

the problem I see with all these films is the same thing with the Batman movies each time they get a "franchise director'.
Each one wants to recreate the legend of the character & destroy any film-to-film continuity, diluting the character.
